Lemeuix is the ONLY prospect in boxing right now that genuinely intrigues me. Say what you want about his comp.... but you can tell that his power is VERY real... and he has the handspeed to back it up, which is always a devestating combination.

I think he'll blow through Rubio.

I like Lemieux is a very good fighter and certainly has a dig on him. He is not the best prospect in boxing though. He's not even really a prospect any more.

Rubio? This the same guy that Pavlik and Jantuah beat up? The guy with the skin grafts?

He wouldn't, he'd get slaughtered by Chunky. I like Lemieux though so I hope for his sake that fight never happens.

They could fight at Loftus Road, or in Montreal, or on Mars, and DeGale would win because at any location in the universe he is the better fighter.

If Lemieux was my neighbour and was boxing for world title in the back garden, I'd close the curtains... :fightme:

Anyway, this is a good name for Lemieux but he shouldn't have much trouble with Rubio. I only saw his fight against Pavlik but he didn't look all that, just tough.

This fight's a WBC eliminator for the Zbik-Chavez Jr. winner.

There is no way Lemieux vs. Chavez Jr. will ever happen, unless Freddie brings out the big stuff. I´m sure the WBC will make Chavez Jr. a Diamond belt Super Champion for his extraordinary lifetime achievements in boxing.

chavez jr. will dump the WeBeCrooks strap to pursue bigger and better fights. hard to take rubio seriously as a foe after jantuah leveled him inside a minute.

    Rubio is a poor fighter.

I saw him over six years ago at the Juan Diaz - Billy Irwin fight, and he is the smallest middleweight I have ever seen.

The guy looks like a lightweight.

It was soon after he was clocked inside a minute, and he still looked like he had not recovered, really, little bitty weak looking fella.

Rubio was knocked out in one round by an Arthur Abraham victim, Kofi Jantuah.

That was years and years ago too.

Are you still considering attending this event, despite your besmirching of Arthur Abraham?

Rubio was destroyed by Jantuah in 2006. AA subsequently beat Jantuah, on May 13th 2006.

You happy that your boy Lemieux is fighting the leftovers of the leftover of a no-talent chap like AA??

Is this really being turned into an Arthur Abraham thread?

It is if I say so.

Is steve_dave really going to attend a Lemieux fight where the prospective victim is Marco Antonio Rubio??

The same MA Rubio what was knocked out in under a round by a guy who lost to "talentless scrub" Arthur Abraham?

I'm glad you showed up Mitchell, I'll just fuck with you some till the man himself is relieved of his beaver pelt duties.

I'm not interested...you've probably never seen Jantuah fight.
