Highly skilled Cuban super middleweight, who Benavidez says is the next great 168 pounder. Has anyone seen him fight? He only has 5 fights with his latest a knock out win over a 2nd rate guy on Fox's broadcast last saturday. But he seems much more experienced no doubt due to his amateur career. And I'm guessing he will be fighting for a title sooner than later. Thoughts?
he's already the WBA (regular) Super middleweight title holder. He seems solid all around, but not dynamic. Him vs Benavidez interests me
not dynamic? what does that mean? people use this term all the time but i've never been entirely sure what it means in boxing. how does a guy with 5 fights demonstrate a lack of dynamism?
he doesnt appear to have any special traits. maybe when he steps up against better competition he will show another gear, but i see a strong kid with solid speed, nice punch selection and good power. not eye popping power, great speed, or especially fluid/coordinated.
Only 5 fights as a pro and already has a "world title"? I swear over the last 10 years they have been handing out belts. Don't know too much about this kid but he did knock out an undefeated Mario Cazarez who handed Canelo his first loss as an amateur and has been trying to milk that insignificant victory over pre pubescent Canelo ever since he turned pro. Morel not only knocked this big mouth. But allegedly "broke his neck" and sent him to the hospital. According to Cazarez and his people.
