Accoriding to boxingconfidential.com, this fight is on for Sep 29th! I dunno whether to believe it or not, but if so, thats one helluva night for boxing fans, and its a DREAM for me! Taylor, and Tarver getting thier asses kicked on the same night, what could be better!:bears:
Dawson should beat Tarver. His speed and youth will be too much. Only bad thing is choosing between networks what to watch. HBO may spoil the ending somewhere during the broadcast.
Didn't Showtime already have something scheduled for Sept. 29? I could've sworn they sent a release a while ago saying they already had fights locked in for 3 consecutive weekends (9/22, 9/29, 10/6) in going against the grain of their normal scheduling (1st sat of the month). It'd be lovely if Dawson/Tarver came off, just for the sake of getting rid of Tarver once and for all. Just seems too good to be true - which means that Shaw will instead sneak in Dawson-Montell Griffin or some shit, claiming that Tarver was impossible to deal with (which isn't a stretch) and that Griffin was the best available opponent. Edit: Oh yeah, Happy born day, brother X.
9/22 Vitali/DeCline 9/27 Free 10/6 Oleg/Peter I like both Tarver and Dawson, so this is a win/win fight for me. For boxing the likely devastating Dawson win will be better, for my amusement a Tarver win would be better, although the revionist history expert in me says people would afterwards claim a lucky punch or that Dawson was always overrated. ::
I'd give Milkdud alot of credit if he beats Dawson, just like I'll give Taylor much props if he beats Pavlik. But I dont think either will happen. Although, Tarver has a puncher's chance.
