After this fight assuming Joe doesn't get to fight Hopkins, Calzaghe and Dawson is a possibility.

    Whats happens in this one??..

Joe turns it down. I reckon that he only wants a big name to prove himself to US fans.

Failing that, why wouldn't he take Woods' IBF belt off him in the Millenium Stadium in front of 50000 fans again?

Those are two horrifying sounds if your name is Bernard Hopkins, still with great impunity, who's Hopkins next opponent gunna be?..a big name fighter 4 divisions below him sounds reasonable enough.

I really hope the money will be available for Hopkins or Pavlik but failing that, Joe would be silly not to fight Woods for his bauble.

    Agree.

Dawson's only hope is to drop down to 168 and cross the pond. I think he can and would do both, but he'll have to do some selling to make it happen. As it is, there are plenty of other options at 175 for both guys and at 168 for Calzaghe.

Personally, I would like to see Calz stay at 168 and try to get the record for defenses.

Dawson is probably the only real threat at this point for Joe from 160-175. Guys like Taylor, and Pavlik would have no real hope of beating him. Hopkins, and RJ are too old and washed up. Dawson is the only one left who could beat him.

I agree. Dawson has size and a style that would give Joe all kinds of problems.

Good fight but..I think Dawson needs a bit more experience before going after Joe, I think annihilating Hopkins would be a step in the right direction but, Jermaine's son, known to Americans as " Da real champ" (Carlos Baldomir) of 175, seems a little quiet on matters concerning Chad for some reason? :notallthere: .
