Was reading Doug Fischer's notebook and thought this was an interesting quote he pulled from the Golden Boy's conference call.

“People forget that I can box up on my toes,â€￾ De La Hoya told more than 125 members of the worldwide sports media who dialed into the Wednesday conference call. “You haven’t seen that from me in a while, but I’m going get on my toes and pop a jab 50 or 60 times a round.â€￾

    Anybody believe him?

If he managed to, I think he'd beat PBF.

You think it was a good move to dump Roach?

He claims DLH told him part of the reasoning in bringing Sr. back to his corner was to sell the rematch.

Not sure what that does for DLH as a fighter, though.

ODLH is the same as PBF right now, he just wants more money.

I think Oscar plans to box on his toes to be taller s that he can compete with Forbes' style of fighting tall

De La Hoya isn't in his mid 20s anymore.

If he throws that many punches and boxes on his toes, he'll gas out, again.

it was probably a stupid move getting rid of Roach..and going back to Mayweather sr....sure Sr. says that this TIME he will prepare DLH for Mayweather jr...but as the fight nears..he will back out again...have a family reunion and settle their differences and shit....

Floyd Sr. won't pull out because he wants his money, but maybe will intentionally sabotage Oscar to ensure that his son wins.

Oscar should have some bonus incentive for Floyd Sr. that gives him a lot of extra money if Oscar wins.

:shit: Maxboxing wrote another article, it was locked so I couldn't read it,.. but it was titled,.. "Calzaghe, the great white hype".... American journalism, and particularly Maxboxing proves once again, that they're just unable to leave skin colour alone when it pertains to white fighters, and they're not black or hispanic writers submitting these articles, they're mostly white, (or Korean) when it come to Steve Kim's little gems.

Yeah, if that's a true statement from Roach - and I don't know if DLH's disputed it - it looks like he's really wearing both his promoter's and fighter's hats going into this one.

I really hope Forbes beats Oscar. I know he won't get the decision but it would be nice to see him clown Oscar all over the ring.

Oscar may box on his toes at times but being naturally bigger than Forbes he will have to force the action and try to bully him also.

This fight will be more interesting than most think.

Seriously? I see this as pretty much a carbon copy of the Cotto/Gomez fight. Meaning the ref will jump in sometime in the middle rounds.

Don't be surprised if he does. I smell trilogy...and I still have a nagging suspicion about that first bout that just won't go away.

i'd like to see mayweather vs. oscar at 147 IF oscar can somehow manage to make weight. even at 150, i expect floyd to beat his ass worse than he did the first time.

If ODLH wins, in any manner, I will be the first to scream that the fix was in for the trilogy.

Prime Oscar wipes his ass with Floyd. The Oscar from the Tito fight buries him. Floyd looked like sh*t to me against a shot Oscar. And Oscar didn't even use his jab. The one round he did, he easily kept Floyd honest. But DLH is a shot old f*ck now.

I think you are smoking curry crack Hanzy

Floyd totally controlled, hurt DLH and easily won that fight, despite being a more natural jr lightweigth!!

Floyd would rape DLH regardless.. he didn't look like SHIT at all! DLH is a great fighter and Floyd being a small guy still managed to tap that ass!
