http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/boxing/9276290.stm Wow Oscar is full of shit.:::: "This is the fight the world wants to watch......its not just a fight, its an event....David is one of the smartest fighters I have ever witnessed in the last decade" :boring: I guess those rumours were just that- rumours.
I think he is right about the time for the fight being now, and Haye has been able to market himself as the Klitschko opponent.
The way he referred to Wlad as "The Klitschko"......Im just spitballing here but I reckon the 1 min 11 second clip was Oscar replying, off-cuff, to some journalist who wouldnt leave him the fuck alone so he just spat out some answer. The notion that Wladimir pulled out of the Chisora fight and immediately rang Schaefer {cos he needs Schaefer} to make the Haye fight is hilarious. The only way either Klitschko gets inwolved {::} with Shaefer is as some sort of an intermediary in negotiations which are going nowhere.
As an American boxing fan, I cannot wait for one of the Klitschko's to fight David Haye. Haye is a destroyer, a wrecking machine, and apparently he's really smart, at least according to what I have read... BECAUSE I HAVEN'T SEEN FUCKALL OF HIM ON TV in the us. Nov. 13, 2010 when he smashed Audley? Nope. April 3, 2010 when he ridded us of John Ruiz in 9? Nope. Nov. 7, 2009 when he got beat the giant Valuev by fairly close decision? Nope. Nov. 15, 2008 when he whipped Monte Barrett in 5? Nope. Mar. 8, 2008 when he whipped some cruiserweight champion named Indo...no, Enzo...Mack...Maccirinelli over 2 1/2 years ago? YES!!! I saw that fight on TV and he looked GREAT at 200 lbs!!!
HBO's done almost nothing to build up the fight from what I've seen...which is pathetic considering Haye's continually being mentioned as one of the few names on their heavyweight "short list" along with Adamek and the Klitschko's. How hard is it to at least get the guy on camera for a ringside interview, like HBO did with Camacho after the DLH-Kamau fight (to give an example). They had the perfect opportunity to do it after Klitschko-Rahman. Rahman was a late sub for Povetkin and the fight was an obvious walk-through, there was plenty of time on that broadcast to spend on possible future Wlad opponents not-named Rahman. Haye had just made his move up to heavyweight. It was a month after he knocked out Barrett, and not so long after the Maccarinelli blowout that American fight fans wouldn't have remembered it. Haye was already well into the Klitschko talk, and he was ringside for the fight (and if I remember correctly, Lennox Lewis said something like he talked to him during the broadcast, sometime after the fight I think). The guy can talk, put him on camera. HBO wants to put itself in the position of promoter, and yet they're as bad at the job as most of the actual promoters. And instead of trying to build interest in the US for the fight, to their absolute discredit, they stop televising Wladimir Klitschko but to my count can find four subsequent dates to stick Chris Arreola on (against McCline, Vitali, Minto, Adamek).
David Haye won't fight him. He'll just retire and claim the Klitschkos were ducking him the whole time.
I'm pretty sure the fight will never happen. Haye wants parity and he doesnt deserve it, nor does he deserve dibs on the location either. KLitschko has fought better competition for longer and has fastidiously built up a pan-European and small American fan-base by way of remaining active and fighting through his setbacks. Perversely, his decision win over Valuev IN Germany should be enough to dispel any notions the lad has about not getting a fair shake over there. Under no circumstances should the fight be held in England. Haye doesn't even live there. Haye will insist on ridiculous money, will not get it and will use it as an excuse not to make the fight.
I think Haye bottled out of the trip to Germany for the Rahman fight, preferring to ring into his new friends at Sky TV from Cyprus after the fight had ended to refer to it as "boring" and claim that all Wlad does is "jab and grab"...:boring: I think after Wlad walked through Chagaev and Chambers that the phone calls stopped being entertained.
this pretty much confirms that the fight won't be happening anytime soon. http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2010/dec/21/david-haye-wladimir-klitschko-boxing
Just some old Chronological Perspective http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2010/nov/17/david-haye-vitali-wladimir-klitschko We already know, no thanks to Adam Booth, that Booth and Haye want Klitschkos people to take up the slack in the differences which will occur between the two German TV Broadcasters- in fact they have instructed Klitschkos people to do likewise- all the while maintaining that their agreement to 50-50 on the English TV money {which is a fraction of the final money} was the one remaining stumbling block Klitschko should fight Chisora in the New Year, then seek out Povetkin for next Summer, and see what happens to Hayes so-called retirement plans.
Not shocking. The fraud knows he'd get his ass whipped. I'm pretty sure he'll retire without fighting either Klitschko like the bitch he is.
They should wait until April or August or whatever it is and see what he is doing. The lad is a straight up newspaper fighter who plays what he thinks is a considered game of one-ups-manship in the press. He should stick to accosting people in shopping malls at least that got a few views on youtube.
Remember when Haye declared he had an interest to clean up boxing and would be requesting wada drug testing thinking that Wlad was stalling over Atlas's request he undergo it for the fight with Povetkin,.. only for Wlad to accept,..... .......then Povetkin withdrew, and Haye said nothing further, infact, ran 1000 miles an hour away from his statement.. It's stupid for the Klitschko's to validate Haye's paper-belt,..unless they're doing it for fib promotional purposes,..as it should already belong to Wlad,.. it was stripped from Chagaev who wished to unify the titles against Wlad,.. but the WBA and Sauerland organised to strip it from Ruslan, then Wilfried signed a co-promotional deal with Haye, and delivered that title to him via a fixed decision. How Haye can get a 50 - 50 split with the truth considered is a very sad reflection,.. I know the UK newspapers are sucking that Cyprus dick raw, drumming up hype and fighting relentlessly every step of the way to defend his unwillingness to fight them,.. but the reality is,.. just like a Republican president being elected,..he spews alot of crooked horse-shit, naturally arouses the racism and hate within the 'special boxing populous',.. and now Haye, has got enough votes to get to where he wants to be. :TLC: Ya still adore big business ay Tori?..
Klitschkos give Hope a Chance, and Give Haye a Choice http://www.fightnews.com/Boxing/klitschkos-give-haye-a-choice-70898
