Oscar would probably be the favorite but I do wonder how he’d react when Cuevas lands.

Oscar by clear decision boxing behind the jabs. Even if Cuevas catches him I don’t think it will be enough to Ko him, DLH gets drop, wobble a bit bit survives the round. A round or two later his back to boxing..

I'd give Oscar a bit more credit than a decision. I think he KO's Cuevas late after softening him with the jab and combinations for most of the fight. Cuevas is actually a favorable style matchup for Oscar. If there's any elite from the late 70s/early 80s that Oscar matches up well with, it'd be Cuevas. Cause Lord knows he doesn't matchup well against Leonard, Duran, Hearns, Benitez. Even Palomino is a dangerous matchup for Oscar. But Cuevas is right for Oscar.

Oscar would have his track shoes on against Hearns.

Hearns would stop Oscar. Oscar couldn't stop a right hand to save his life.

Yeah I can’t even see a punchers chance for Oscar against Hearns.

Oscar's chances against Hearns are very very slim. Tommy wasn't all that fragile at 147. You see it took Leonard 14 rounds to wear him down. It took Oscar 11 rounds to dispatch of Carr. U think Carr would go 11 with Leonard??

I guess going as far as saying Oscar has no chance would be a bit of an exaggeration, but at the same time, his chances are very poor. Its not that much of an exaggeration. And this is at 147, btw.

154? Oscar has no chance. I would actually call it a mismatch at 154.

I just don’t see Oscar taking the chances he’d need to take to win this fight. The moment Hearns clips him with a right he’s gonna get on his bike and run.

Oscar probably outboxes Cuevas. I think he would constantly beat him to the punch.

The way that Oscar had so much trouble with Ike’s jab & right hand and how tentative he was for so many rounds makes me think lowly of his chances against Tommy, who might have had the best right cross of all time.

Oscar has a chance at turning things around with a big left hook, but not a good one.

I think it would take more than one good left hook. Even if he can hurt Hearns, it’s not likely he finishes him like that. He’d have to break Hearns down round by round and IMO he simply is not gonna come into the wheelhouse to take what he’d have to take to get the job done.

If Oscar gets aggressive, I think he gets stopped. But if he fights the way I think he would (Trinidad fight), he probably survives 12 rounds to hear the final bell but loses a wide UD.

ODLH would have been too quick and skilled for Cuevas.
