How would this go? Oscar lost twice to Mosley (2nd one was controversial). And Forrest beat Mosley twice. Is this another triangle where Oscar is all wrong for Forrest like Shane is wrong for Oscar, or does Vernon have the tools to beat DLH as well?

I think Oscar would've beaten Forrest, and said that even 20 years ago. Forrest had the style to beat Shane, that's IT! He did not have the style to beat Oscar, he sure as fuck didn't have the style to beat Tito, and we already saw that he had no answers for Quartey... even if the corrupt judges didn't see it.

Quartey-Forrest was a serious serious serious robbery. Makes me mad till this day.

Forrest wouldn't throw enough to win a decision

Oh yeah. I know many think Ike deserved the nod against De La Hoya but it was close and Oscar had big moments, especially closing the show I don't see how a case could be made for Forrest. That said it's not one that i've ever revisited.

Alright, I just watched it again and it’s as bad as I remember. Quartey clearly but CLEARLY won at least 7 rounds. Forrest did nothing but back up and catch counters from the 4th round on. Horrible decision.

Yes even worse than Quartey-De La Coka, which I thought Ike won 7-5. Oscar’s 12th round rally at least gave the judges an excuse to give it to him.
