Jose Sulaiman, president of the WBC, has said that the authority would also look to impose a "serious" fine on the Zimbabwe-born fighter.

The body has demanded that Chisora seeks anger management treatment before considering whether to lift the suspension.

Chisora will also be taken out of the organisation's rankings.

The WBC said it was "one of the worst behaviours ever by a professional".

Chisora is due before a British Boxing Board of Control hearing on 14 March.

Frank Warren told BBC Radio 5 live: "I don't understand how someone can be banned without having a hearing. I've never ever heard of anything like that. There's been no hearing.''

"There were some things which he did which absolutely were wrong and he shouldn't have done, and I'm not condoning that but there were a lot of things happening behind the scenes. All this stuff needs to be taken into consideration before anyone decides what happened.
"Everybody is entitled to natural justice no matter what they've done.''

What about Haye's behaviour? Old Jose thought it was alright I guess.

Haye doesn't currently have a boxing license that's why. When he decides to unretire and fight again he will have to deal with this b.s

Chisora just added some drama to a fight nobody cared about. He didn't do anything that wrong. Was Riddick Bowe banned for landing two bombs on Larry Donald ? That was a baby slap just to generate some interest. THey're overreacting.

Chisora doesn't deserve that life time ban at all. It's not like he called Jose Sulaiman fat or anything.

I agree, it,s clear double standard. Morales and Barera weren't better in ther pre fight fight yet, they hardly got any shit for it too.

Well I dont mind if it sets a precedent. Nothing more cowardly than seeing someone get sucker punched or slapped during a staredown. Kellerman's pet 'Harlem Hammer' didn't mind the sucker-punch,... it's the same ball-park.

and ofcourse,.. America's legendary Bernard Hopkins, the tick in every box,..is also a registered offender here.

Superficially, the ban on Chisora make sense. Dig a little deeper and it seems that "sexier" fighters are being allowed to dictate the tone.

The relationship between Vitali and Sulaiman is a little discomfiting, to me anyways, to say the least.

Haye, a man who would not do a live interview in England alongside Wlad because he "might give him a slap" is now suggesting anger-management courses for Chisora. Indeed.

:crafty: ..Put it this way. If Haye, during a staredown with Wlad,.. did to Wlad what he did to Chisora at close proximity and knocked him out cold. Sure the fight would have been called off,.. Haye would have been fined,..maybe even banned...Vitali would be jumping around like a monkey, but the pictures of a KO'd Wlad would be published on all the major US and UK websites,.. a cheap shot,.. [IMG] ..but there's nothing else to go by,.. Haye could have retired,.. mission accomplished,.. justice for all.. :crafty:

It's a terrible decision this. How is it "one of the worst behaviours ever by a professional"?

Taken collectively its a pretty distasteful sequence.

    1. The slap.
    2. The spit.
    3. The fight at the presser

No one of those incidents is unprecedented but the entire collective farce is.

Chisora should embrace it- he's not likely to fight for a WBC title anytime soon and he can parlay this into some victim-status nonsense.

Fuck Haye too. He's a playboy.

There's no need for it- I fear the BEEB are racing to the bottom now. Ironically, how many times are we told that such-and-such an immigrant is "British". Deercks a spaz but they are either with him or not. No need to refer to him as "Britains" Dereck Chisora one minute and "Zimbobway's Dereck" the next

 Nah I figured, being a Britisher, there was a good chance that would be your starting point in any case. It just had the smell of a BBC article. Maybe I am getting old, but they appear to have more and more clowns at work in there- kids doing the sports/football write-ups, that sort of thing.

Of course if he'd won they wouldn't have even mentioned Zimbabwe. Still though, we shit on all other news organisations.

And fuck the Sunday Sun too.

 There is a great shot of a Liverpool fan holding up one of the Sunday-Sun banners as Gerrard runs up for his penno at Liverpool, it disappeared in bloody hurry around 2 seconds later.

Tyson Fury sometimes gets that treatment, he's never "Irelands" Tyson Fury but he's not really Britains Tyson Fury either. Born in Manchester, claims dole in Dublin, he's got dual-citizenship :wack:
