This should be a very good action fight, who knows maybe even a FOTY candidate when its all said n done. Who wins? I think Baby Fat is gonna kick Julio's ass, and win a very convincing UD. Who says the rest of the forum?
Juan will kick Julio's ass. Could be some kd's, but definitely an action packed FOTY candidate:cheer: I would take Juan by TKO in 8. Just a sidenote, Juan would destroy David Diaz.
Joony, Stinger was at Juan's bris last night...if he has reported the fighting falling apart...it couldn't POSSIBLY be true.
i forget where but i read it today. juan might have to sit out for the remainder of the year. his manager doesnt want to give any options to don king or some shit.
this fight fails to interest me. julio diaz has had his chances and crapped out. the lightweight division as a whole is depleted. I'd like to see juan diaz fight campbell
Willie Savannah was worried about the options but was given a new contract that he said looked more encouraging but as right now still nothing signed.
I must admit, I'd like to see Juan clean up the titles. In the meantime, Anthony Peterson fighting Katsidis would be great and then Juan could fight the winner. But I agree with you on the fact that Julio doesn't really bring much to interest me neither.
Juan wasn't at the fights last Thursday night, and I didn't know anything about it. I'll try to get to the gym late this week for an update for everyone if I can, as I know Juan hates sitting on the sidelines. If not this week, perhaps next week as my work schedule is extremely busy right now.
Juan Diaz wins and becomes the man at 135. forget Casamayor and his ring belt. That clown doesn't fight anybody. He should fire his manager who can't get him a decent fight after his win over corrales.
julio should've fought campbell. i thought that was a winnable fight for him. if this fight falls through, i wonder if either of them will fight before the year ends. julio is wasting his prime imo.
wait a minute. where did you hear that from Karl? Last time I talked to Julio, Tono et al they have a very successful construction business in the Coachella Valley and are responsible for a lot of the building that has been going on there for about 10 years. From what some of my family tells me they do very well for themselves and since Coachella isn't considered expensive (Palm Springs, Palm Desert are consider the high end areas) they are doing fine.
