I doubt it. I think he just got tired. But it kind of seemed that way, didn't it?

I don't know if I can handle another Floyd/Oscar thread. But to answer your question he could have been more aggressive but thats not Oscar's style. He did more than what you can expect considering his layoff and age.

History has indicated that DLH does not do well against slick boxers. So no he didn't go easy on PBF. His skill level jost does not bode well against a slick boxer. I'll Holla 5000

I don't think Oscar went easy with Floyd totally ignorant of the arraingment Kaliber. But I was on Tyler's bandwagon. Here is how I think the whole thing went down:

Floyd and Oscar... maybe around the halfway point from training camp to fight, sort of got sick of jawing back and fourth and started to change thier behavior. I think it became like a wrestling show at that point where they both exxagerated their hate for each other in a big way.

I think at that point they made a sort of nonverbal agreement... a subtle agreement and not an overt agreement.... but an agreement none-the-less, that they were both faced with the monumental task of saving face during this fight after basically putting their asses on the line.

What changed was that they could push and shove and scowl but also know on some level that neither guy would go for blood. The only time they went at it tooth and nail was the last 15 seconds of the last round, does that tell ya something?

And yes Kaliber it probably was because of a lucritive rematch and because neither of these guys really wants to risk losing anything of value... I mean LOOK AT THE BUZZ about this FIGHT!! you would think that neither guy lost or gained anything!

Floyd and Oscar are probably friends... at least smart enough to know what both were thinking and execute.

yep. He could have won easily against the man who's been running off his mouth about him for months...but decided to take it easy on him and risk losing just for teh possibility of a rematch.

He threw his share. He just rarely landed it, at least not upstairs (he landed his share to the beltline).

Well, he's already made it clear he ain't fighting Margarito. I hope Tito comes out of retirement and decapitates his azz.

he threw it. and he landed a few big ones up top too. PBF showed a pretty good chin.

no. PBF. PBF has said he'd be open to a Trinidad fight. and has stated categorically that he will NOT fight Margarito.

    It can apply to both.

That's basically the same thing Oscar has said too.

I think the more appropriate question is "Did Floyd take it easy on Oscar?"...

As good as Floyd looked, it wasn't even his best performance, and he still whipped Oscar's ass. If Floyd would have been more aggressive, he may not have stopped Oscar but he would have hurt him pretty good at points.

Did you really think Mayweather looked all that good?

I dunno, I was very impressed with his defense (and Oscar's surprised me), but his offense was rather mediocre.

Floyd didn't look comfortable and did't do his best. If he had stepped it up he would have won fairly easily...to the point where there would be NO ONE saying that Oscar deserved the decision.

In a rematch, Floyd will win far more convincingly because he knows that he can handle Oscar.

De la zombie has no chance against Floyd. None. Get over it. I thought Floyd would win, but I cheered for Oscar. I picked a SD for Oscar. He got urinated on. Please move on.

You're dreaming if you think that if Floyd steps it up, he'll get knocked out. No one 154 and lower is stopping Li'l Floyd. Not only is it very difficult to hit him flush, even when he's attacking (think Judah, Mitchell and Gatti fights)..but he's proven a very dependable chin even when he is hit.

Some people are claiming Oscar got robbed.

Still, I don't think it was one-sided as you're saying. I had it 8-4 and Floyd had a tough time landing much due to Oscar's parrying.

I had it 8-4. That means Floyd won by 1/3 or 33% of a fight. He made Oscar look stupid. That is all I could say during the fight. Oscar looked like a slapping zOMBIE.

You never learn dude! You are like my Husky. She is a drama queen, she knows exactly what will piss me off, does it occasionally, gets a smack on the ass, acts suprised and behaves for a while, then starts the cycle again. I can set my clock to it.

So lets see... Floyd took Oscar's best punches, is faster, and allegedly didn't try as hard as he could, Oscar faded in the later rounds and will consequently rally and beat Floyd the next fight.

The scary thing is Oscar did land at least one of his left hooks, FLUSH, with all his power behind it (think to the after the bell shot in the 6th or 7th round)...Floyd took it without flinching.

Are you retarded or something? You pick Floyd to lose every fight, and he wins every fight. Haven't you seen a pattern yet?
