Can DLH do what Vargas did?
Can he solve the riddle that SSM couldn't?
Would he be able to throw of eye catching flurries, stay on his toes, & steal rounds, or would his conditioning let him down & Winky's superior size & strength wear DLH down?

Wright would be a horrible matchup for Oscar. Just not a good style for DLH to have success against. Wright by clear UD.

It's not just a bad style, but Winky was too big on top of it. Wright should win a comfortable decision.

Vargas-Winky was close though I thought Wink pulled it off. I like Wright via decision here but it's competitive. Let's not forget that Winky was a different fighter at 154. He took more chances. Thus he got hit more. But I don't think De La Hoya can push him around inside the way Vargas was able to do down the stretch to pull out that controversial decision. Oscar is more finesse. I don't think that would get it.

De La Hoya would win a close semi-controversial decision.

In a MM, people wouldn't have picked Oscar over a Welterweight Pernell Whitaker either...but he won a close semi-controversial decision over him too.

De La Hoya-Whitaker could have gone either way, I thought.

I think it's competitive as well. Winky was more offensive minded at 154 lbs. That gives Oscar a chance. Not sure if De La Hoya would have the late rounds stamina to deal the deal in this one if it's that close.

Beginning with the vargas fight Wright adopted the come forward aggressive style. He said he did it in response to the odh/Trinidad decision.

That style would have given odh a lot of trouble I think.
