If I didnt post on a forum, or read articles constantly putting them down with spurious double standards that are not enforced on other fighters, like the universally beloved Bernard Hopkins in particular,..I think having them win just to spite those who are frustrated, with sinister motives, suits me fine.

I think Wlad is monotonous, and uses illegal means to avoid too much pressure,..I dearly hope, as I do with Hopkins,.. that he is warned about illegal measures one day, to where he is made aware that he's on the brink of disqualification, so we can see wether he REALLY can handle pressure these days or not.

Vitali has developed a unique style,.. I find him entertaining, his workrate is good for a heavyweight, he frequently engages, and more often than not knocks his opponent out, or atleast puts a serious hurting on them.

They're not the same fighter,.. but the problem has always been "the Klitschkos" ,..it's more about what they are, rather than how they fight.

    No.

It would have some small excitement value early on (ala Rahman & Lewis), but who out there deserves the title more than Wlad Klitschko? The truth is, no one --- so that's where it should stay.

His older brother, he has had his day & while I certainly do not wish defeat upon him, it wouldn't upset me, either. It would certainly be more compelling than another snoozer of a decision win for him.

I love the paranoid nonsense of Kauki and Irish on this particular topic

I also love that they both seem to think Bernard Hopkins, certainly one of the more divisive boxers of the last 20 years, is universally beloved

as for the poll question, I dont care if they win or lose

    Yes, paranoid.

Even Fightbeat has a front page article,.. "In defence of the Klitschkos"... I guess the author had a raging moment of white supremecy that should be wrist-slapped into banishment.

Tell me about it. They think I, one of the whitest guys here, hate on the brothers because they're, well, white.

Cry me a river. At least you have finally owned up to hating them. Why do you hate them? Have they inconvenienced you in some way? Why do you want them to lose their next fights?

I have denied my dislike of the brothers? Where have you been?

Honestly, right now, I don't care about heavyweight boxing. Which is sad, because it used to be my favorite.

I'd like to see them lose because it's funny to me when they do.

Marvin Hagler beat better fighters on the whole than Bob Foster, but that doesnt mean he beats him

    So........flesh that one out.

I think you and I are in agreement.

Hagler beat a lot of good fighters, marquee names- Hearns, Duran, probably beat Leonard, Mugabe, Minter, Antuofermo, Sibson, etc.

But in truth he was the sort of shortish MW that a genuine 175lbr like Foster fed off. Foster was simply designed for beating shortish guys like Marvin- he was very tall, powerful enough to go up to the heavyweights, had a good jab and a good hook and a clever sneaky right.

    Sounds like somebody we know.

Frazier beat better "names" than Vitali but, much like Hagler with Foster, on spec, I think Frazier gets his arse kicked by Vitali.

Why is it funny to see other fighters lose? In particular these guys? Which was the funniest loss of them all? Why do you dislike them?

Because I don't care for them. In Vitali's case I absolutely hate watching him and his ugly style fight. That, and he tried to dog my favorite fighter Lennox Lewis after their fight. Never sat well with me.

In Wlad's case, I generally don't like soft, girly fighters. Guys who have to change the way they fight mid-career because they can't take head shots. He's just a guy that, in my eyes, would have suffered so many more KO losses in any semblance of a deep division. A fraud, if you will.

Really, there are just some guys I don't like. Tarver and Vargas come to mind. I'm not nearly shitty enough as a person to hate a fighter because of where he's from or what he looks like. Back around 2000ish, I was excited about Wlad. Loved his style and his obvious talents. But the guy turned out to be an absolute vagina.

He took the fight on 10 days notice, fought his balls off, won 4 of 6 rounds and fought Lewis to a standstill. I'd say he kind of earned the right to "dog" Lewis after the fight. More than Wally Matthews ever did, thats for sure. Ugly style fight? He stands there, he counter punches, he throws lots of shots, he shows good defence, he rolls the right hand off the shoulder, he never cheats or throws low blows or holds behind the head while uppercutting.

Barrera changed his style because he couldn't take shots from slick, black, inner city fighters like Juniper Jones. Of course he never went back near no slick black fighters. How do you figure Wlad can't take headshots? Most heavyweights react adversely to being hit in the head. Sometimes immediately, other times a bit later. Wlad never been counted out. Never been down for no 10 count. Took some headshots from Sam Peter and was landing the heavier stuff by the 12th. Roy Jones been counted out. Corrie Sanders been counted out. Lennox Lewis been counted out. Hasim Rahman been counted out.

Like what? The division which saw Tommy Morrison, that paragon, the very essence, a veritable bastion of safety-first fighting get a 12 round decision over George Foreman? That saw former WBO Light-Heavyweight Mike Moorer rack up round after round before walking into a straight right that no half-assed fighter would ever get hit by? That division? Or the division that had Mike Grant being blasted out in 2 rounds by Lewis who then went to South Africa and got iced by Oleg Maskaev plaything Hasim Rahman? That division? Is this the division we are talking about.

No mate. A fraud is a guy who tells lies and cheats in training camp and cheats in the ring and who runs away and who plays a game of spin. No real fan of boxing would ever call a guy like Wlad a fraud. A fraud is a guy who beats a man whose been out of the ring for 6 years and makes a legacy out of it. Thats a fraud.

Really? So you have dissected his career into little bits, and Wlad is only as good as his last little bit? Mike Tyson got into the Hall of Fame on the first little bit. Irish Mike Jameson. Slammin Sammy Schaff. Berbick. Pinklon Thomas. Its an interesting method you have there.

Thats no reason to wish them ill. Do you feel uncomfortable at polite dinner parties trying to explain to people what is going on in boxing? Is that it? Is it because you wish you could just say "Kevin Johnson" and then go and get some more Canapes or champers, but instead find yourself wrestling with these obscure names and the odd nomenclature of multiple sanctioning bodies?

Where I live, no one has a clue about boxing... I don't bring it up.

I just don't like them or the way they fight. This isn't a race or nationality thing with me.

The brothers if anything are dominant. If an exciting prospect came up through the ranks i'd cheer for them to beat one of the Klitschkos. That guy is not David Haye though.

As it stands i'd rather have both continuing to take out the trash that is today's heavyweight division than losing to somebody even worse.

You could have done without that.

So you don't like them, apart from boxing, away from boxing, you don't like them.

    Why would that be?

    You're not hearing him.

He finds them boring to observe. Hell, we all do. You don't have to like his viewpoint, but you're just flat passing by it at this point.

He's obsessed with the idea that to hate the Klitschko's is a slight against his people.

In reality, the only reason Irish likes the Klitschko's is the colour of their skin. Hopefully people like Irish are on the way out. It's 2011, get with it, bro!

Sorry, bro, you are rather poor.

I don't like them, because of the way they fight.
