and yes, he does. I dreamt last night that he beat Margarito, and then beat Paul WIlliams later in the year.

Well anyone can hit the lottery and land a bomb that ends a fight, but is that scenario remotely plausable?

The more and more I think of this fight, the more and more I think.... yes he does have a chance. He seems very determined for revenge, and Margarita IMO is overlooking him, and paying more attention to Cotto. Add that to the fact that Kerm IS a big puncher, and you have the makings for a possible upset. Does that mean I'm picking him? No. I'm still picking Margarita to stop him late. But if Kerm pulls it off I wont be shocked. Margarita is beatable.

I would consider him live to turn the tables if that Feliciano fight didn't happen. Cintron is just too fragile.

I can't see Kerm winning this fight at all. I just can't think of anything he does better than Margarito and if it turns into another brawl he's definitely not more durable than Margarito. He's maybe a bit of a better boxer but I'm not sure it's enough for him to win the fight. So other than a robbery I can't really see Kerm winning.

I'm sure Manny will have him working the jab more this time, which is something he NEVER used in the first fight. That could set up a right hand, or uppercut Phony doesnt see, and hurt him. Plus like I said, Margarita might be underestimating Kerm. Margarita in all likely hood WILL beat his ass again, I just dont think its a far gone conclusion like most believe. In other words, Kerm has somewhat of a chance. Certainly more of a chance than Gomez has.

I say no way. Margarito looks and sounds pissed at losing to Williams. He is going to make an example of Cintron. Cintron either gets KTFO or Manny will have to pull a Don Felix and save his ass.

He can't hurt Antonio. He is flat footed, has average defence and will be outworked by Antonio. He is a perfect opponent for Margarito to look good against.

To me this fight is just a case of when does Antonio knock his ass out.

Can't rob a guy when that guy is KTFO. Go ask Mike Tyson and Don King about that.

Disagree there. Tony has a pretty sturdy chin, no doubt. But he can be hurt. Santos hurt him badly twice, and Clottey wobbled him with counter right uppercuts. In their first fight, I can count the number of hard, flush punches Cintron landed on one hand. And even those weren't punches that made me say "Damn..that was a shot" like in most of Kermit's fights.

This is a Cintron myth. What is this based on? I've seen more evidence that Cintron is merely an above average puncher rather than him being this supposed power house.

Another knock against Cintron winning is Manny Stewart is on a big time losing streak isn't he.

Agreed - although I didn't like his performance against Feliciano at all. Still, while I favor Margarito, Cintron can pull it off. His offense is a hundred times more refined than it was the first time. And he's even more explosive. Whether he's got the stomach for this kind of battle remains to be seen. He didn't the first time.

On the other hand, Margarito has been talking about Cotto a lot more than he should be at this point. He was pretty lethargic against Williams; I wonder if the gym wars, age and refusal to move up in weight (147 since he was EIGHTEEN!) have caught up to him.

There are PLENTY of questions in this one.

I give these and the looking ahead to Cotto as the best chances Cintron will have, which basically mean it's going to take more than just a maximum effort from Cintron. He'll also need a less than max effort from Margs.

Yes and the fact that he struggled with Feliciano's sloppy ass pressure is pretty bad. Margarito will whip Cintron's ass again.

    Yep, on the Vargas-Mayorga Undercard...

Feliciano Legitimately TESTED Cintron...But Considering Feliciano is MEDIOCRE (or WORSE),that DOESN'T Bode Well for Cintron's Chances of Beating Margarita...Margarita's TWICE the Fighter Feliciano is...Perhaps THRICE...

REED would Looooove NATHAN More than for Cintron to STRETCH Margarita & RID Us of his Existence, but it's VERY Unlikely to Happen...

REED ADMIRES Cintron's GUTS for PURSUING this RE, but it's Gonna BITE him N his Ass N the End....

No, but I did see the Feliciano fight you mentioned earlier. So seeing as how Cintron hasn't really shown much more evidence of great power I had to conclude that Mathhhhhyse is a bit chinny. The fact that he didn't get stopped by a feather fisted Williams doesn't change my opinion either. Even Corey Spinks has a few KO's on his record.

I'm with you on this one Reed. I got to watch Cintron twice in person as he fought in West Palm Beach against Estrada and Suarez in 2006. Both times I walked away impressed by how hard his shots sound. The kid can punch if nothing else.

That being said, coming back to win against a guy that previously dominated you is a difficult task for anyone. Hopefully Kermit will jab, keep distance and land his big shots without getting into a slugfest with Margarito.

I think it will be a good fight in which Cintron's confidence helps him make it close. However, I think the physicality of Margarito ends up being the determining factor as he stops Cintron late.
