I said he has a chance, but yeah, it'd have to be a puncher's chance and he would have to swarm him right afterwards.

I'm not sure who these Nate Campbell haters are that think he has no chance. Someone of his skill level is not a "lock" to lose against someone of Diaz' skill level. They are about equal IMO, with Diaz' activity and stamina being the thing that tips the fight in his favor. But apart from that, Campbell is live, against anyone at 135 really.

Campbell has the speed to give Diaz some problems early IMO. I think he will be discouraged in the second half of the fight after Diaz has hit him alot.

I also agree with rjjp4p. I think Campbell will take some early rounds, but Diaz will take over in the second half, winning a clear cut UD.

Campbell has had a good career for someone who only started boxing in his mid twenities.

REED Poses this Question Because he's UNsure if Nate Campbell even has a "Punchers" Chance...

Nate was a GOOD Puncher @ 130, but He hasn't Really Carried his Power UP w/him to 135...

"However", Juan Diaz's Style WILL Provide Campbell w/AMPLE Opportunity to PROVE his Lightweight Punching Power...Either Way, We'll Get Our Answer EARLY...

Ultimately, REED Thinks Juan's PACE is a BAD RECIPE for a Lower Weight Fighter N his MID 30's...

This is a great fight on paper which support my claim that boxing is freakin exciting. Anyways Nate is gonna have to be on his "A" game and Diaz will have to have an off night for Nate to be successful. Diaz is just way too active/aggressive and comes to fight. It will be interesting to see if Nate can actually box and counter Diaz and make Diaz fight going backwards. This is easier said then done and Nate will be in over his head in this one. Again this is an exciting war and I can't wait to watch. I'll Holla 5000

He has ZERO chance. THey should just have the weigh-in and then declare Diaz the winner and go straight to the post-fight interviews.

Agree, but he's also had a shitty career for someone who fought Casamayor on better than even terms so early in his career.

lol i'm far from a Nate hater i would be happy if he crushed Diaz because i like him better. Campell is just often so Judahesque for my taste and if he doesn't bring his A+ game as bigdawg suggested he will receive a beatdown.

I'd give Nate a better chance if he was still in his prime but he's got a lot of milage on his odometer and Juan is peaking right now so I don't see Nate pulling off the upset and I even wonder how much Nate even believes in himself to win that fight.

Nate Campbell is a live underdog...A lot of what Diaz does can be minimized with educated movement and getting off first. Both of theses things Nate does very well. He can win this fight.

Nate never struck me as the smart, figure a guy out and execute a gameplan kind of guy.

Yep, I'm sure of it, I hate his chances.

here's some questions that need answered if we're to decide whether or not Campbell has a shot:

    1. does he hit harder than Freitas
    2. is he more durable than Freitas
    3. can he keep Diaz at bay with his jab - at least in spots?
    4. will he stick out his chin and give Diaz his best shot like he did against Peden?
    5. Can he stay off the ropes (i.e. will his stamina be good enough such that he can give movement throughout much of the fight).

based on these, i'd say he has little to no chance of winning.
