Quite possibly. Not something i'd bet on but if there were something like 4-1 odds in favor of Golota it certainly would be worth putting some cash on Shavers.
I wouldn't favor Golota over many, if ANY, huge punchers in heavyweight history. He would fall apart soon as Shavers lands. Shavers inside of 3-5.
Golota would hear about Shavers' power and what his peers had to say, shit himself and get brutally KOed. And I never pick Shavers, but this is the only acceptable outcome.
Golota would give Shavers a boxing lesson early, he had a good jab and good skills. Then Shavers would nail him. If Golota took the punch he would stop Shavers in another round or two. If the punch hurt Golota, he would either bite Shavers or punch him in the balls 6 or 8 times. After that, the referee becomes a participant in deciding the outcome of the fight. In general I think that Golota would beat Shavers unless he does something stupid to cost himself the fight.
There are avenues to victory for Golota thanks to his physical advantages and Shavers' various weaknesses, but even the slightest slip-up by Golota could cause everything to unravel for him.
