Same here, Edgar is awesome. Less spectacular than the other P4Pers in MMA, but very solid, well rounded, and tough. I think he's one of the best fighters in the sport.

To be honest I would favour him over Aldo.

Florian at 35 gave Aldo a lot of problems. I think edgars boxig would give aldo a whole lot of trouble. I would defo favour Frankie.

As a bj Penn fan I kinda blanked this guy out. However he is a serious talent, great boxing, good take downs, awesome heart and amazing recovery.

Agree with all the above. It is difficult not to like a guy like Edgar that just refuses to give up. The way he keeps his wits when seriously hurt is amazing.

But last night was another example of the guy with better cardio winning. Edgar was as fresh in round 4 as he was when the fight started despite taking a beating and having his nose broken. Meanwhile Maynard slowly wilted from chasing Edgar and getting pot shotted.

Edgar is going to be a rough night for anyone at 145 or 155.

Aldo is just as big as Edgar and a lot more talented in every way, but wrestling.

Edgar gets hit too easily. I think the clear pick is Aldo.

No miracle if Edgar wins because he is proven tough and could possibly shut down Aldo with his wrestling, but I just don't see it happening.

maynard is big and strong, but has he ever been known as this puncher? i thought his fights vs. florian and diaz were both boring. anywho, aldo wasn't spectacular, but he got the job done regardless.

i'd like to see how aldo would stifle edgar's constant movement seeing that he's a much more accurate and versatile striker than maynard is, but i'd imagine edgar would have little trouble taking aldo down.

Edgar might be a short small tiny dude with a penis size of at best 5 inches but when it comes to his heart it's huge (figuratively speaking of course. literally it probably is tiny too he's a tiny midget )

It may be the weight but this version of aldo is not that impressive, based on current form I think Edgar beats him up.

The aldo that beat brown was a beast, where is that guy

I have been a fan of Edgar since he came into the UFC. What is funny, is even being a fan, I have always seemed to sell him short. I picked BJ against him, I picked Maynard against him. The guy just gets it done. I love watching him fight. He is the Darren Sproles of MMA.

Not sure, but my hunch is no. Aldo is going to have trouble with Frankie's wrestling. If Frankie can take Gray Maynard down, he won't have any issues with getting Aldo down. I don't see Aldo pulling off a sub against Frankie, Frankie's BJJ isn't at the level of Aldo, but its still very good and he uses it very effectively in MMA. Aldo has his chance on the feet, but here I see Frankie outlasting him.
