Damn, Mitchell is tempting fate with his ignorance of defense, when on the offense. He is in real danger, everytime he throws and its like he doesnt know it. Still, he is painting Johannsen at the moment. So at least in a scoring sense, Mitchell is in full control. Carl already looks intent on a stoppage. Probably the right idea. Mitchell starts out the third looking to assert the jab, as he's now moving a bit more. As I type that, Johanssen traps him breifly on the ropes and does....nothing good. Mitchell is dominating this fight so far. He's far too quick and active. The uppercuts are landing on the crouching Johanssen now and his face becomes a little redder as each minute passes. The body shots are nice from Mitchell, too. Speed difference is significant already, and Johanssen looks slower than he did in round one...body shots wouldnt be helping that. Damn. Johanssen is getting shelacked right now. He won't make it to the final bell at this rate. 30-27 Mitchell.
Johanssen lands a nice left hook on Mitchell...but Kevin answers with five punches of far more quality. He's impressive here right now. Damn, he lands another big left hook on Mitchell and this time Kevin looks a little hurt. Johannsen really coming on right now. Its the left hook now. Thats what he's looking for and its the right shot, he just needs to lure MItchell into it, because it cane land...and there it is again. It is, huh. Joh coming out aggressive again at the start of round 5, but the shortness of his shots rarely lasts more than 30 seconds, before he starts winging again. Both guys landing qualty punches on the inside, but more and more we're seeing Mitchell retreating to the ropes. He's working well there, but its still giving Joh the chance to get to him. That left hook keeps landing, but Mitchell has the right hand high now and blocks the shot. Joh looks a bit hurt here and MItchell is pouring it on. He is hurt, but Joh the tough cunt that he is, keeps walking in and now Mitchell is taking a breather. Joh landing good shots here and Mitchell is in full retreat. Good fight indeed. Its a long fight already and its not even half way through the scheduled distance. Both guys fighting a little bit in spurts right now...hmm, Mitchell touches down, but its not ruled a knock down. Mitchell is being tagged alot. ALOT. Joh after him and is snapping Kevin head back with each shot that lands. Right hands are doing the business now and Mitchell is looking more than a little rattled. High contact shit here. There are moments in this round, that you swear Mitchell is ready to go. Damn, Mitchell survives the round but is in all sorts, because this wasnt one punch that turned the fight. It's been going JOh's way for the past three rounds and he is coming on. Looks alot stronger. Replay shows Mitchell DID go down and it was a shitty call. 57-57 EVEN.
ROund 7 begins with Joh backed into the ropes?! WTF. Mitchell looking like he has for the past few rounds. Lots of guts, but he's getting sloppy now and Joh is still there in front of him. Taking what Mitchell gives and waiting to let loose himself. Karl could be taking a round here, because he's not active at all and is letting Mitchell steal the play. Nope, he's not. He unlouads a few nice shots on the inside and MItchell's head snaps back. Still, Mitchell is commanding the round here, after being nearly gone last round. Joh lands a big right and now Mitchell is groggy, walking into the big shots of Joh all over again...and now he's retreating. Fucking crazy fight....and now I got a phone call and I have to bail.
