Frank Warren puts on the deepest and most competitive PPV card in years. I wonder how many of these fights will be scratched. Cleverly vs. Murat (WBO interim light-heavyweight title) Barker vs. Macklin (European Middleweight title) Rhodes vs. Konecny (European Lightmiddleweight title) Maccarinelli vs. Frenkel (European Cruiserweight title) Brook vs. Jennings (WBO welterweight eliminator) Chisora vs. Sexton II (british heavyweight title) DeGale vs. Dilks plus Gavin and Broadhurst How the hell is that going to play out? Is Sky going to show seven live fights, because they are all better than what they usually offer on Fridays. :clapagain:
Three European title bouts.....you can draw a line through those. Chisora vs Sexton......and Murat vs Cleverley...good fights.
But of course. The notion that two of the hotter properties in British Middlweight boxing were just going to get it on......nah....no chance. I'll bet Enzo's fight comes off though......:shit: A few words of truth: Enzo Maccarinelli is an abuser of performance enhancing drugs. The fact that they have not worked is because Maccarinelli is so far past his limited best that it is not even worth his time. But he has used body building stuff nonetheless. You read it here first.
And then there were five. Irish, got any stock tips? :: http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&id=30580 I have to admit, those two bouts falling through really kill it for me.
Chisora-Sexton would still be a worthwhile grudge fight for me. That said, it feels like illegal internet-stream time. Not surprised by Rhodes........he is an aged smackhead.
Fuck. I was loooking forward to that fight. Sauerland is broadcasting that card live in Germany and I think Warren planned it to be Enzo and Cleverly all along, but needed some local appeal to sell the card.
Did anyone expect it to play out as planned? Its a Frank Allegedly card. Typical as well that 2 of the 3 more vital match-ups have been scratched. I wouldn't be surprised if another bit the dust, possibly the macca bout - def. wont be the headliner or the brook-jennings fight
Cleverly is the one guy I am concerned about putting in there with Chris Henry, as Chris will romp the rest of the field. Nathan is a terrific boxer/puncher. We are going to be studying and watching every move he makes in this one. Karl
Brook-Jennings was also rumored to fall out, with claims that Brook was out of the gym due to a bout with the flu. He dismissed it... but there's still two weeks until fight night. Plenty of time to pull out.
I only thought it would be unlikely as its been postponed twice already, and both shoudl sell some tickets between them - I just get the feeling that no matter what happens this one will go ahead
That's pretty cool, Karl. It's weird, when Nathan started out he didn't get many KO's, didn't look anything like a puncher, but he seems to have grown into that role alot more over recent years.
Never mind Nothin Cleverley, Jaffa The Hut, Chunky The Flunky or any of these bums............ Tony Bellew is the guy to keep an eye on at 175 in England. <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/sWMiKOdLQGU?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/sWMiKOdLQGU?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>
