Erik "El Terrible" Morales Tribute thread.

We all saw that Erik was completely washed up but still abnle to beat a hungry fighter like Diaz. He was completely gassed and rubber legged from rd 7 on but still managed to put on a good showing.

That fight wasn't even necessary for his Warrior image which was consolidated just fine before the fight. He was a great Boxer/Fighter and after the Pacman beatings simply not as capable anymore.

I think u can even give him the fight it was a close affair but damn Diaz is so bad it's not funny.

Diaz reminds me of Carlos Hernandez. Look at that fight and thats how a prime Morales pounds Diaz.

P4p one of the dumbest fighters of this generation. Right up there with Chico Coralles. He had all the skill but threw it to the wind and would rather brawl, and I never thought much of him as a brawler. He was a better boxer and was IMO more exciting as a boxer. He'll forever be linked with MAB and for some reason MAB is really hated by Morales fans which is retarded. Funny opposite thing about MAB is he started as a brawler, wised up and became a much better boxer and unlike Morales was very impressive either way.

I give Morales mucho respect as a fighter who had great heart and toughness and never failed to try to give his all for himself and his fans. I wasn't a big fan of his, but I always appreciated him. He should easily make the HOF.

Although I wasn't a big Morales fan, I have a lot of respect for him. He was probably the most entertaining fighter this decade, and one of the toughest and gutsiest as well.

If he stays retired, then it's good. I'd like him to go out losing a very close decision instead of quitting against Pacquiao. Boxing fans are a tough bunch and quitting is frowned upon, so it shows how much respect people have for Morales and what he's shown over the years that few people bashed him after he quit versus Pacquiao.
