Perhaps the best cruiser now in Drozd, Olympic gold medallist Chakiev, Kudryashow who has been knocking out everybody in the first round and also Povetkin vs Perez should be action-packed. Women's fight going on now, rest to come

Manuell Charr beat Leapai on decision in the only bum fight of the event. Leapai had stamina for two rounds, Charr slapped him around after that wit his titties bouncing. Real fights start now

Kudryashov fails to impress against an opponent who doesn't want to fight but concentrates on running and clinching. A body shot in the 6th finally put end to the matters. Shit fight

It is over in the first. Povetkin hurt Perez with his right after minute of waiting, then blasted him down quickly. Perez got up but had no legs and fell again as Povetkin approached him.

Perez was #8 ranked by The Ring and had that brutal war against Abdusalamov. here he wasn't able to take any kind of punch and Povetkin isn't even a banger.

Irish Mikey Perez got fucked up by Povetkin in one round! I don't think Perez has been right though since the Abdusalamov fight.

Who thinks this one was more about levels?

He lost to Jennings, so his decline was well chronicled.

Also...he is like a lot of the Cubans who come "Over here"- fat and disinterested and just not up for it.

The last two years I've really got big into the NRL and the origin series. I thank Supercoach which is VERY, VERY addictive! I'm currently in a league with Andrew who is pretty damn good at Supercoach. I'm in second place and he's in first.

Povetkin looks like a tank recently. He is on some serious stuff since being protected by the Moscow environment. He is less flabby and has a real muscular look under the rest of baby fat. He always had ok power but this one was very much about precision and placement of the shots, something Abdusalamov has never heard of before. Those were sniper like shots Perez got put down with.

Povetkin has always been very accurate, and placed his shots well, that's why I liked him at first.

Did you see the fight? Look at his shoulders, he is FAR from his earlier physique.

Yeah you're right, he does look way more solid and tank like now.

 at "Irish" Mike Perez, he got stomped by Povvles. That first right hook was awesome.

Pretty sure Povvles would batter Jennings and Wilder.

Povetkin could have been very good. He was very promising for a few years when he started out. Took a couple of years off and now at 35 years old to start training professionally seems a bit late. Wasted some time...

No doubt, it is a shame. As you probably know, I am not a fan of heavyweights at all, but Povetkin was one of the only new heavies I liked for YEARS. But then he just sort of didn't do anything.

I hope he gets some good wins before he retires though, to at least vaguely live up to his potential.

ESPN2 showed the Povetkin fight. I don't think they advertised that they were going to.

I wonder if they'll be snagging random foreign cards in the future? It would be better than Top Rank crap was.
