Roy Jones, Lennox Lewis, Michael Grant, Oscar De La Hoya, Bernard Hopkins...basically any fighter who doesn't use his legs a hold lot tries to get away with it.
Michael Grant was the Michael Jordan of high cup wearers. Check out where his cup is as he gets KD by Lennox. :: Even his opponents caught on after awhile. Here's Michael Grant vs. Robert Davis. ::
I'm not even sure if there is a rule on it. Perhaps there is, but i've yet to see it enforced. The most i've seen is a ref saying during the opening words "this cup is high, blows here are legal". Maybe it's not a huge issue but i think it should be addressed nonetheless.
Winky too. his are always high as fuck. actually, only in the lower weight classes do you see "anyone" wear it where it should be. and even there, there's plenty of fighters who wear it high.
they should wear protective cups that baseball players use, and that's it, ban the boxing ones... bunch of pussies, boxers from the early ages didn't used shit
