It comes down to the following. Rank them: RJ Camacho Sr Mosley Ray Leonard Ray Robinson Mel Taylor Zab Judah Howard Davis
1. Roy 2. Meldrick Taylor 3. Zab Judah 4. Ray Leonard 5. Shane Mosley/Camacho Sr.(TIED) 6. Ray Robinson 7. Howard Davis REED
As far as one or two shot combo's and counters: Camacho Sr. and Zab Judah. If we are talking 3 to 6 punch combo's SRL hands down. You have to remember the difference between quick (Camacho SR., PBF,ZAB,etc.) and FAST (SRL,SRR,Ali) - This is being able to throw a shot off impulse. The other guys are more time and distance measurment.
I remember when Roy was in his prime some fools claimed he could throw 4 hooks in 3 seconds.
Roy Could Probably Throw Anywhere from 6-8 Hooks N 3 Seconds...SERIOUSLY... REED Forgets How Many he Threw or what the Duration was,but Roy was Actually TIMED on A & E's "Boxing Study"... REED
Is this P4P or actual? If P4P then where are Tyson, Patterson and Ali? If Actual...Mel Taylor has a slight edge on Roy Jones.
Bill Cayton timed Ali's jab against Sugar Ray Robinson's using frames of film. Ali's jab was about 7 frames of film while Robinson's was 8. That's saying alot, but p4p, Ali was the fasted. Roy's hands were fast because with everyone mentioned on the list, Roy has the worst technique. He was just so damn fast. Judah could throw one or maybe two fast punches, but if you've ever seen him throw a fast combination, they don't land very well at all.
Great list, it's hard to rank them, they are are very fast fighters. Camacho Sr has to be in the top 3. In his prime the man had blinding hand speed.
