Inspired by Xplosive's thread about how the talent pool has improved from a few years ago. Who's everyone's favorite fighters to watch today?

My list in no particular order

    GGG
    Terrence Crawford
    Kovalev
    Vasyl Lomachenko
    Rigo
    Mikey Garcia
    Erislandy Lara

I like Felix Verdejo too but I still need to see more from him.

Forgot to add Danny Garcia. Just a good solid fighter who gets the job done. Nothing special athletically, but all around effective. Good boxing IQ, good chin, good counter puncher.

I liked what I saw from Andrade last time out. I was impressed and I'll be keeping up with him.

PBF and Manny are still great to watch but definitely at the tail end of their careers.

    Pacquiao
    Maidana
    M. Garcia
    Crawford
    El Perro
    Santa Cruz

I like Kovalev and GGG but neither one had really fought anyone. And I think D. Garcia is good but was surprised when he lost to Herrera.

I really wish people would stop telling that lie. Garcia won that fight. It was close, and Herrera's ugly style made Danny look like shit, but Garcia clearly won IMO.

I have no sympathy for Herrera either. He was on the generous end when he fought Provo. Provo kicked his ass, yet somehow Herrera got the win.

    Fuck Herrera.

Oh and btw, how the Hell are you gonna accuse GGG and Kov of not fighting anybody, yet be fans of Santa Cruz and Mikey Garcia? Neither one of them has fought a top fighter either.

Your favoritism towards Mexican fighters is hilarious.

Agreed, I can't help but like a guy like that. He looks slow, fairly unathletic, and unspectacular - but he simply knows how to fight.

What's wrong with liking Lemieux? He's an exciting fighter. Just a very flawed one.

Hell, I was a fan of Antwun Echols, and he wasn't a top fighter.

I like Danny Garcia more than Mikey Garcia. Mikey is more talented, but Danny appears to have more substance and toughness.

Because he's just so scrubby. He has no natural fighting acumen or instincts, as evidenced when he got slapped around by Rubio.

Agreed. He is kind of the opposite of what I described about Lemieux. Lemoo might have more natural offensive talent, but Garcia is all substance and fighting acumen.

There's nothing wrong with being a FAN of a non-top fighter.

Shit, Brian Vera could be your favorite fighter for all it matters. We're talking about PERSONAL favorites, this isn't a P4P list.

I agree. I just found it funny that TLC was a fan of someone as scrubby as Lemieux, it makes sense.

Prior to losing to Alvarado, I was a Brandon Rios fan. Yes he's always been limited but he would go out there and lay it on the line.

His performance against Pac was horrible. Didn't go out on his shield at all.

    Garcia faced Salido.

And I said I like both those guys. Are you trying to say they've both faced top comp?

And I've always been a fan of D. Garcia. Most of you guys underrated him all along because he didn't fit your mold. But he beat your boy Matthysse down and proven himself time after time.

You think I favor Mexican fighters? Hold them to a different standard? That's ridiculous. Completely.
