I see that as a good business model, not as disrespect to their fighters. The UFC has done more good for fighters than any other promotion in history. Their salaries are rising rapidly, MMA fighters are becoming mainstream, MMA as a sport is being seen as legit instead of 'Human Cockfighting', and the current fighters are laying the groundwork for the successes of future fighters, just as the fighters of the past did for today's fighters. Fedor, meanwhile, has been the headliner for 3 MMA organizations that have gone out of business, (Pride, Bodog, Affliction). That alone says making the brand more important than the fighters themselves is the key to success in promoting MMA. TFK
I can't really feel bad for these guys, they fucking signed the deal!! Nobody held a gun to their head and made them sign anything. If you don't like the deal, don't sign the contract. It's really that simple.

It should be noted those guys wouldn't have shit to complain about if not for being stars in the UFC.
