What a ridiculous waste of time. Fedor, who had been getting criticized for fighting nobodies like Zulu and Choi, finally got back on track with impressive victories over Arlovski and Sylvia. And now he's back to this garbage?

If this is Fedor's best option outside of the UFC, that's pretty sad.

It's just an exhibition. I don't see the need for any criticism here.

the only fight to be made with Fedor is with Josh Barnett, correct? Other than that the only good competition at heavyweight resides in the UFC, which is also pretty sparse

The criticism is Fedor shouldn't be wasting his time doing exhibition with guys he outweighs by 80 pounds. He should be fighting Barnett.

This sucks. You can say whatever you want as it being an exhibition, but TFK is right, its a complete waste of time.

We are both Fedor fans. From what I can tell you love the MMA scene in Japan as well as do I. I don't see anything interesting in this at all. What is in it for you?

I'll give you that, and I am sure Fedor as well as Aoki get paid nicely for it. As a fan of Fedor's I just know the clock is ticking and I would much rather see him go for a fight with Barnett or possibly Overeem rather than grapple with a WW/LW.

best Jay Z album of all time....The Blueprint:hammert:

How is it a waste of time? The match is in 6 days! Its sort of like a pick-up game of hoops for them. LOL

I'm not doubting your reporting here but....... It just seems odd that a guy would work as hard as Barnett to win 5 in a row with the end goal being to fight Fedor. And then when he gains the top contender spot, he tries to dodge the match he's worked for?

    I don't know.

It's the truth. Barnett is clearly ducking Fedor. He's had plenty of chances to make the fight.

From what I've read, Barnett claims they are good friends and doesn't want to fight Fedor. Fedor has no problem punching Barnett's face in though. Reminds me of the whole Chuck Liddell vs Tito Ortiz deal where Tito was claiming they were good friends and Chuck saying they weren't.

What would they gain by doing that? I understand why it would be good for fans obviously.

Whats he got to prove? And against who?

He's beaten the best fighters of his era.Whoever he fights from here on out will just be piled on to an already outstanding career.

He has nothing to prove. But I still want to see him fight. I am a Fedor fan, the guy's skills are second to none and I get up for every one of his fights. I even watched his Sambo tourneys on the internet:lol: I want to see him put a whuppin on every HW he can get his hands on. Are you saying you would rather him retire now?

I don't get why a fan of a fighter would rather a guy sit on his ranking and retire than kick some more ass and be even greater.

If they really believe they are that great, they should be screaming for them to add some more top scalps to his resume.

Or they are just scared he might lose. Which is my guess.
