Exceptionally tough first title defense for Sturm. Alcoba is 28 years old, two years a pro with a 14-0 (7 KO´s) record and his best win is a decision over an Argentinian with a record of 12-5-8. The Argentinian also came off a 2 1/2 lay-off after Abraham demolished him in his 9th pro bout. Alcoba has also fought a guy with a 3-8 record THREE times and now he gets a world title bout, without having beaten a single top 500 middleweight.

Sturm: Abraham is ducking me, maybe I´ll fight Taylor, Pavlik or Hopkins. :bears: :bears: :bears:

Holy crap what a disgrace... big ups to Kohl for getting this bum into the WBA top 15 - that's truly an achievement.

Honestly, what do you expect from a guy who got KO'd by Castillejo? He's not beating anyone good.

It is kind of funny that Sturm got KO'd by a guy that Oscar dominated though.

I've started to come around to you, you know...I admire your dedication to your beliefs. You're ultra, madly, so wrong on that though.

116-112, Sturm. That was a very easy fight to score. I'm all for out hustling an opponent, but not when you're taking flush shots, puffing like a fatty and being outlanded. Most of Oscar's shots were caught on the elbows, IMO.
