I love Tito, but he's desperately craving for attention, of any sort. Just stay retired man, enjoy your money.

If he was trying to wait until people forgot about the Jones fight before announcing this, he needs to wait longer.

I really wished he had been more active in this decade. That loss to Hopkins seemed to fuck him up mentally, only 4 fights after that loss in 8 years.

Indeed. He could had stay active ala DeLa Hoya handpicking opponents and making sweet money or go the Robert Duran route and getting more beatings than he needed. Anyway, why announced a retirement when he has been already inactive for so long? Bye Tito, good memories and STAY THE FUCK RETIRED!!!

Agreed! All good things come to a end. He was one of the most exciting fighters to watch in his prime. Surely will be missed. The mother fucker caused me to be nervous far too many times before a fight.

If he had put down the fork, he probably could've gone his ass down to 154 in around 2003 and fought Mosley or DLH again.

Trinidad just quit on himself after the Hopkins fight..he could've stayed around...moved down to 154...fight Mosley, Williams, Ouma, rematch Vargas before he fought DLH.. avoid WINKY...maybe then seeing Hopkins lose to Taylor..move up fight Taylor..and Pavlik......

But one lose...and he was DONE...:shit:

Hard to argue with this. He could have dropped to 154.

One the greatest fighters of all-time in my eyes. The dude came to fight in every one of his bouts. Nothing but respect for him. Hell if he would have fighting at a high level I would have like to see him in the 168lb tourney. It would have been intersting to see if any of those dudes could have handled Titos left hook which was one of the greatest. I'll Holla 5000

Tito brought excitement to the game. You were virtually guaranteed of getting your money's worth any time he fought. One of the best weltwerweights of the past 15 years or so. Not an all time great on the level of Leonard, Robinson, Duran, Hearns, Napoles, or Gavilan. But a very good fighter nonetheless who only lost to the very best of his era.

    Much respect.

Tito was a very entertaining fighter who tried to KO everyone with every punch. I hope that Don King didn't take too much advantage of him and that he enjoys his retirement with his wealth.

Is that when you expect he'll run out of lunch money?
