Would have been one of the most anticipated and hyped fights in history among hardcore fans round about this time. Hell I remember a thread on Secondsout debating the relative merit of these two which went on for about a friggin' year.

My pick would have been Mosley at the time, and it still would be. Mosley UD 12.

I think Trinidad would have won via close but deserved decision. I think Shane would have started fast and floored him early, but Tito would have cranked up his attack from the mid rounds on and he'd knock Mosley down once late and seal the deal.

    Trinidad via decision.

Tito punishes Shane late and wins by UD at 154, probably seriously hurting Shane late. Too powerful, and accurate and though Shane's handspeed would certainly give Tito hell, in the end Shane's brawling instincts backfire on him against Tito.

Paff!,..bulldust my dear wool, Shane is a slippery jaguar, a true hard headed snark, nobody stops him, infact, Tito has footwork like jake the peg, it's impossible, you need to go and rewa s o e be nt.

I think the outcome depends on whether Shane is willing and smart enough to fight on the back foot a bit like he did in the first Oscar fight. However Shane's almost as dumb and unwilling to adjust as Tito so thats not a certainty. In that sense Tito's power and strength might be a blessing for Shane in that it might force him onto the back foot as counter puncher where I've always thought he was most effective.

I like both fighters alot.. I always thought though that Shane would beat Tito..

unless like some said, if he tryed to just slug it out.. in that case Tito prolly KO's him but Shane could box him a bit.. fight like he did with DLH and he'd win.. the speed difference is ridiculous here

I honestly have no idea. Tito never lost to a guy bringing the fight to him but Mosley's chin might have been strong enough to actually withstand Tito's best as long as he saw every punch coming. As long as Mosley is blocking a lot of Tito's hooks I can see him coming out on top, but to be honest I have no idea who would have won this fight in a lb for lb sense. But at 154 you're talking about a worser Mosley and a better Tito so I figure Tito takes it.

Shane would've walked into Tito's deathook sooner or later and this was no vernon forrest. Trinidad @ 154 was in his physical prime. Shane could move but tired quickly, leaving himself in front of his opponent with no defense.

Trinidad UD12 very similar to the David Reid fight.
