    Who cares about them pre-Tito?

    It's the beatings they got in those fights that enhanced their 'legacies'....

    I disagree. Take Tito out of the 154 lb division at that time, and HBO was easily angling for a Vargas-Reid fight. They were always in love w/ Vargas.

    Vargas by decision or perhaps late knockout. As crappy as Fernando's chin was, Reid's was far worse. Fernando's became more evident during the Tito fight, and slowly deteriorating soon thereafter, whereas Reid always had a shitty chin, with shitty fighters putting him on his ass well before Tito came along.
