Froch is a likable guy. Lot of charisma to him. Too bad he's still gettin his ass whupped. Kessler seems to have a quiet confidence about him in this fight. Like he knows Froch is made for him. BTW - Calzaghe needs to start singin Mariah Carey songs to Froch. "Why you so obsessed with me?"
:: at people who were saying Andre was so "fucked and disoriented" etc when he got up. He got up looked absolutely fine. He was crying, but looked clear headed, not even wobbly, and was saying "who called me a coward? I'll finish this shit man".
Probably a Calzaghe fan :: Although it's nowhere near as extreme, it does have rings of Vargas - Oscar to it. Even though Joe is now retired, Froch is fairly obsessed with him for some reason. Both Frock and Kessler seem pretty confident actually for their fight, and I don't get the hate on Green, he seems likeable.
Don't know where all the hate is coming from. All the fighters bring something different to the table but all fighters appear to be very good dudes. Please explain why the hate is soo damn strong. I'll Holla 5000
Green IS likeable. He's a funny and charismatic guy. He just isnt very good. He has good power, and good handspeed I admit, but at the top level I believe he's bound to fail.
Need explanation. What classifies a whiner? I don't get it. People expect that if someone loses that they won't come up with excuses. Every athlete who competes at a high level that puts in the work plays the blame game. That's just who we are as people. That's how we rationalize shit. No one who competes wants to lose and no one wants to be known as a loser so therefore it's someone elses fault. I'll Holla 5000
I have no problem with the rest of them (well actually I hate Arabham as a fighter, but he seems OK out of the ring). Dirrell is a bitch. You saw it in the Frock fight, you saw it in the Arabham fight, and apparently he pulled off a similar performance a couple of years ago. It's a shame, because he's clearly a very talented fighter, but he IS a grade A bitch, make no mistake.
Fair enough, it's just I notice quite a bit of hate towards Green, and I wasn't sure whether it was directed at him as a fighter, or for some reason he rubbed people the wrong way out of the ring.
No one ever said Dirrell isnt a good dude. He seems a nice enough cat, and like he's a very good father/family man. He just has a certain tone about his voice thats often times very whiney.
Yep, he does seem like a nice enough dude. There's certainly nothing cuntish about him, but he's a bitch ::
Dirrell comes off as really immature with a childish sense of humor. But I still think he's a likable cat...only a little on the corny side. Most of the guys on the show strike me as being good dudes..though I get the feeling that Andre Ward and Goosen may be the least genuine of the bunch.
I think I'm a little unsure of Ward after some stories I read some time ago that stated that religious "Son of God" image he tries to pass off is nothing more than a facade. On the first episode of 360° there was controversy about Ward's comments following the Pudwill fight after he said something about not having to leave home in the Super Six. They then showed footage of a convo between Goosen and Ken Hershman, who basically told Goosen to have his fighter keep his mouth shut, almost as if they had worked some kind of side deal out. I also thought it was interesting when word of the tournament leaked out before it was ever fully put together , most involved seemed to assume it was Goosen who was the leak. Ward has two of his first three fights in the Super Six in his own backyard, and is in a pissing contest right now to have his third there. After the Froch-Dirrell fight, I remember reading a comment from him stating "That's why I don't leave home" or something to that effect, as if he needs a hometown advantage to get a fair shake. Regardless, whether my suspicions are right are wrong, I'm sure Ward's true colors will show when the tournament is all said and done.
Anyone else think it's a little ironic that Gary Shaw tells Andre about not stopping to throw punches unless the ref is there and even his wife gets a little excited when he swings on Abraham, when he got lowblowed the 2nd time, yet they both ran their mouths when Abraham clocks Dirrell?
Just watched it....great once again...Hennessey once again just sitting back, happy to be there as always. I wanna see what happens if a situatiom pops up where he really has to fight for Froch's cause. Abraham, foul aside, emerged from this really well. I still think Dirrell played it up, but no one deep down apart from Dirrell knows if he truly did. Bottom line i guess is, don't foul so blatently in the first place. Hopefully we see the rematch later on in the competition...it has been the best fight so far....Kessler-Froch may top it though.
