Not that it was too unpredictable, but before the ref finished counting to 10 in the 1st fight I had already picked Lewis BIG in the re with Rahman.
Tarver KO9 Roy, thought it would take Tarver a little longer, I overestimated Roy´s abilities. :Giggle:
unless you won dollars on these bouts none of the predictions were worth bragging about. smegman is topping all you chaps thus far
Hopkins over Tito because it happened EXACTLY as I envisioned it Hoya over Mayorga for the same reason
In the spirit of Neil's suggestion... Donaire stopping Darchinyan was the last fight on which I placed a sizeable bet. Nonito was something absurd, like +800 or some shit. I bet it solo and also parlayed w/ a gimme (Wlad-Brewster II) and made a nice chunk of change.
My king of kings prediction was the first Tommy Hearns/Iran Barkley fight! I picked Barkley to win; not only that, I wished for the 3rd round, too!! Check this out, I'm from the Bronx and Barkley is from the Bronx, too. Anyway, before that fight you may remember that Davey Moore was killed in that freak accident with his vehicle just about a week or so before the fight. Barkley and Moore were best friends and I remember how in the New York Daily News, Mike Lupica said that Barkley was going to lose to Hearns and he'd get knocked out in the 3rd round. So, I took Barkley and wished that he'd knock Hearns out in the 3rd round instead, that way, the wannabe omnicient Lupica could look more like his mentor's first name (Dick Young). It worked!
