The biggest fight of 2016 is upon us. Final predictions.

Unfortunately, my head is sticking with Ward.

My heart is hoping like Hell Kov gives him a career ending beating.

    Ward by UD.

    Shiit...it's this week already?

I'm torn. I'm definitely on the fence. It'll be a distance fight, that's my only prediction.

It's not guaranteed to be a distance fight.

Ward should be a favored, but considering there's questions if his chin is great, and considering Kov is a scary puncher, the possibility of a Kovalev KO is there.

Just think, within two weeks we should have a concrete top 3 P4P.

Chocolatito is a consensus choice for top 3. The winner of Kov-Ward, and Loma, if he beats Walters in style, should make up the top 3.

If Loma's impressive against Walters, I'll officially put him over Golov, since Golov has never beaten anybody as good as Walters.

Then I guess that would make the prison system P4P #1.

That's why imo the fighters vying for that title should be appealing the parole board for his early release so they can make that fight. Show you want it.

Let's lobby for The Donald to pardon Paige.

Trump's a big boxing fan, he'll understand that we need to get this P4P debate settled.

Margarito made Lewis his bitch. Mosley made Margarito his bitch. Mayweather made Mosley his bitch. lol

Moral of the story is: The Sly One can always find a way to inject Mayweather into the Xplosive's topic of conversation.

    He didn't face prime Paige.

Prime James Paige makes 88 Tyson look like a club fighter.

I've got Ward. He looks in the best shape of his career. Just the question whether his chin will hold up.

Ward will win a lopsided, boring UD. Not even looking forward to this stinker.

I'm gonna say Ward will win a decision with a few dangerous moments along the way.

Of course I hope I'm as wrong as I was for this election...

But I'm now getting the feeling that Ward will outmaneuver Kovalev and get the nod from the judges with cleaner punching.

REED's Still Leaning Kovalev, Either by Late Stoppage or UD...

REED Thinks John David Jackson Will Be the Difference...

Granted, Jackson was NOWHERE Close to Ward's Level of Proficiency, But He ALSO Used Brains and Craft Over Brawn, in His Fighting Days...w/Jackson's Experience and Training ACUMEN, he KNOWS What his Fighter Needs to Do to Make Ward Perpetually UNCOMFORTABLE...

And Kovalev's LENGTH, WORKRATE and POWER are More than Enough to Carry Out Jackson's Plan...

Kovalev's patience could either be an asset or his downfall in this one. If he's behind presumably the power is there to turn the fight around with one or two shots. If however he falls behind it matters a lot on why. Biding his time and looking for openings while getting slightly outworked is one thing. Getting tagged too often and Ward having him timed is another. Big punchers are usually the first to get a bit reckless when frustrated. If that happens I think Ward is too experienced in big fights to worry about the crowd wanting blood. He will just stick what got him there. (assuming he's in control)

Kov needs to make Ward feel pain early and continue to make him feel it even if he drops some rounds in the process. He just can't let the lead get too wide. If he manages to get ahead and force Ward to make up the gap? It should be much easier.

Since Ward is an Oaklnad lightskinned brotha, hopefully he'll pull a Steph and choke.

Ward's only half decent, but he should have enough in him to win this fight.

question is, will ward try to smother kovalev the way he did kessler? that was 9 years ago! if he does, you'd think he will get hurt. however, if he tries to box, he is vunerable as well imo, given kov's timing and quickness (kov does not load up and can also counter punch).

9 years ago,.. back in the good ol' days when Dick Cheney's faction lead the Republican party,.. I wonder what happened to those guys, and whether they'll ever return?

I agree that Ward will make love,..though he does have a quicker snipe along the edges,.. either way, outside or inside, he simply wins....you fucking degenerate.

My logic is that since 50 year old man Bernard Hopkins was able to survive Kovalev, younger close to prime Ward should be able to do the same since he is also a smart cagey fighter.

Kovalev is a good boxer himself though and is very aggressive. Therefore, it's Aggression vs Defense and judges tend to lean towards aggression so I see a close SD for Kovalev.
