Which current MMA fighter, excluding HW's, would you least want to face in an alley somewhere?

For me, Dan Henderson. The dude is like a concrete wall. You can't budge him with punches and he hits like a freight train. He's already missing his teeth and has a flattened nose, so it's not likely you can scare him.

Actually Dan's chin has shown signs of being cracked---not that anybody here could do much about it. The thing is, he's so insanely strong that you'd do nothing against him up close, and if he connects with that right hand, you can forget about picking up your teeth as you'd probably have to pick up your head instead.

Although I'd probably prefer that right hand to the left high thrust kick that Anderson landed to Vitor's face. Come to think of it, I think my answer is Anderson. Can you imagine if he was pissed off and gave you the same knee he gave to Rich Franklin in their first fight after Rich landed the left hand that woke him up? You'd be looking at 10s of thousands of dollars in plastic surgery.

I'm not quite as worried at Anderson. At least we would be able to have a little dance off before the tussle. That would be fun.

There would be no fucking around on Wanderleis part. Not only that, remember when he would smile at his opponents in Pride as he was walking them down? Creepy.

Yeah, I'm not saying I'd be happy about facing Anderson especially the Muay Thai knee that Buddy described, but he is a little more methodical and is typically a counter puncher type fighter.

A prime, Pride version of Wandy would scare the piss out of me. Honestly, what are going to do against a guy that relished wading in and trading?

Still though, Hendo is 40 and faced the absolute biggest punchers across 2 weight classes from Wandy to Belfort to Rampage and has never been knocked out or even close.

That is scary. Plus he has that face that looks like you could take a baseball bat with you and still be in trouble.

Not so sure about that one. Dan was in deep shit in his last fight against Feijao. He got dropped hard bigtime. Still, he sprawled and worked a single.

And just think, if he lands a shot like the left hook that dropped Vanderlei, when he comes down, he'll land the same knee to the nuts that he landed against Vanderlei while following up with a right hand to the chin like he did against both Vanderlei and Bisping.

Dan rolled over and grabbed the single leg after JC dropped him without any hesitation. He didn't seem very hurt.

I would say the kick by Anderson Silva had Henderson more hurt.

But in neither case was he closed to being stopped from those shots.

Henderson is like the MMA equivalent of Tex Cobb but with skill. With those gloves, to have almost 40 fights against some big punchers and having never been stopped, that some impressive shit.
