Well, after our week off, the FightBeat Prediction League came back for Round Six. It wasn't a massive scoring round, with only 9 points being the difference between the highest score and the lowest score. Just one thing, a few people were asking why the Lopez Vs Penalosa fight wasn't included this round. To be honest with you, I don't know how but I completely missed it, for some reason I didn't think it was this weekend, otherwise I would have definitely included it, I didn't even see it on the schedule, but yes it was my bad and I hold my hands up :doh: Moving on, this weekend was a good round for the mid-tablers, who clawed back a little ground on the rest. In fact, the top 3 this round was made up of numbers 11, 12 and 13 in the standings, in that order! Predictor of the round goes to TKO, who was the only poster to predict a Froch win, and consequently was the only poster to predict the correct winner in every fight. This made him joint top scorer in Round Six with ILLUMINATI who didn't play it safe and went out on a limb by choosing KO's, and the gamble paid off! Honourable mention goes to Matchup_Analyzer who was the only poster to get a 10-pointer in this round, correctly predicting Sturm KO 7, which he needed as it saved him from getting potentially the lowest score in this round! In terms of the table, the leading two, Salaco (who went top for the first time in Round 5) and *Z* were both joint lowest scorers this round along with 4th place whiskey, earning 15 points. This enable 3rd place Pagan to close the gap to within 6 points of the top spot. REEDsART and Matchup_Analyzer had decent scoring rounds as well, which put them back in the title picture. Salaco will be relieved to see that *Z* wasn't able to hit back straight away and reclaim his perch at the top, maintaining his 4 point advantage. *Z* on the other hand, after dominating for so long in the early rounds, has now finished with the lowest scores in the last two rounds, is he a Jermain Taylor, not able to last the pace? Or is he taking a couple rounds off, preparing for a late surge? It's hard to say, but we are now at the half way stage, and the chasing pack are well within range, it's all still to play for, the title still up for grabs! Remember people, if you are a bit behind the leaders, get yourself a Five Fight Slam next round and sucker punch the competition! Oh and Bruce, please post again, it depresses me to type in that 0 week after week :: So congratulations once again to Salaco who still tops the table at the halfway stage of the tournament! Is he going to stay there? Will *Z* reclaim his spot? Will Pagan, whiskey, Reed or someone else have their name in bold at the top? All will be revealed! Stay tuned for Round 7, which could very well be the best yet, with Pacquiao - Hatton sure to divide many opinions! Thanks to all who participated! SnD
