that would beat Floyd in the divisions he's fought in barring 154. It's clear that Floyd is the most complete fighter of the last 9 years and is clearly above everyone else in the game. Name some guys who would beat him at 130, 135, 140, and 147?

    130 - Saddler maybe.

135 - Duran, Chavez, Armstrong and Whitaker.

140 - Pryor and maybe Tszyu.

147 - Plenty, he's small there and clearly not at his best.

He gives everyone hell, he's that good. He's not the GOAT though.

BTW - I really found it funny the.. "most complete fighter of the last 9 years". 9 years but no the whole 10?

Saddler didn't fight in the last 30 years. Name some guys at 147. "Plenty" is not an answer I was hoping to get. I do agree that it isn't his best weight either. Floyd like a Whitaker would do very well against many very good welters. Notice I ddin't even bother asking at 154 for the reasons you mentioned at 147.

 There was no need for that!

Only Hearns and Leonard could be favoured over Floyd at ANY WEIGHT imo.....

Still...Floyd would give both guys hell!

    Laugh it up!

Weren't people saying the same thing re Floyd fighting Hatton after struggling with the roughhouse tactics and body punching of Castillo?

Floyd's crisp accurate counterpunching and bodyshots will reduce the workrate of those guys just like it did Hatton and everyone else he fought

please...Mayweather barely won a decision against a past his prime DLH(who in his prime was a poormans LEONARD)...Castllo rough him up and in many folks card won their fight...Duran and Pryor would fuck him up...Arguello landed bombs..after bombs on Pryor..and could do shit with him..but Mayweather one lead right hand at the time is going to slow the Hawk down...

Dude...we'll argue about this till we're both blue in the face because those fights could never come off and so we wont get a chance to prove who knows what they are talking about

    However

We both got a chance last Saturday...and you were proven WRONG!!!!!!

If and when Floyd-Cotto comes off you shall be proven wrong again!

How do you figure Floyd/Cotto can come off when Floyd said he's taking the next 2 years off?

You can do that without the name-calling.

Agreed. Only I'd put Whitaker in there too. RJ, PBF, and Whitaker are the best 3 fighters of the last 20 years.

Hopkins is still the greatest fighter since Duran, IMO.

Mayweather is better than both Whitaker and Jones Jr though, IMO.

Pryor & Benitez are the only ones who beat him at 140. I see him being too smart for Mel, and he'd beat ANY version of Tszyu. Prime Tszyu would have his moments against Floyd, but I think a Tszyu type woulda brought out the best in Floyd, and he woulda beaten Tszyu clearly.

At 147 you can add Curry to the list of fighters who woulda beaten Floyd.

Yup. There's also the pretty clear possibility that Mayweather has more tools than Pernell had as well and against other great fighters, things like that matter.
