I've always liked Hatton, and I still like him, but I can't stand watching him fight anymore. If he fights while I'm at home I'll watch but you won't see me cancel anything to watch one of his fights unless it is against an exciting fighter that could make it interesting.

Klitchko too, and I still like him too, but I don't watch his fights anymore unless he fights a real threat. Against a push over? I won't bother to watch and I'll read the results the day after.

I love boxing but when it's boring (i.e. clinch fest), it's unwatchable.

    Hatton for me.

Mosley too. I used to be a big fan of his at 147. Most of his recent performances have been pretty boring.

Yeah agreed about Mosley, I still watch though, I still have hope even though it's a bit irrational considering his age.

    1) Marquez.... He is one of my favorites but I hate the lower divisions. Its hard to watch them go at it for me.

    2) Hopkins. I stopped really watching him passionately when he retired. Its not his style so much as I just feel like he has nothing less to do. I did enjoy watching him against Calzighe though.

    3) Winky. Again, I like to watch the skilled guys but Winky is like a right handed black jack machine at a southpaw convention... I always feel like there is no place for him in boxing, nowhere for him to go with any sense of direction.

What about the other 35:30 of the fight? He looked like crap. It looks like Margarito will take two burrito sized shits on Shane's chest in January.

Tito and Roy (in that order) top my list.

I watch Joan Guzman only because I'm friends with him (and more so his manager), but even at that, I won't catch feelings over missing any of his fights these days.

Ricky Hatton isworth a mention as well. Seems like his watchabililty factor dramatically dropped the moment he crossed the pond.

Damn, it's been so long since he fought, that I forgot about Winky. But yeah, the Taylor fight was the last fight I watched with any sort of anticipation.

I was once upon a time a huge Hopkins fan, but stopped rooting for him long before he became boring, so it wouldn't really be fair to mention him.

Yeah Jake, Tito is one I should add too. For the same reasons REED gave about Roy. I've heard he's supposed to have yet another comeback, any truth to that rumor? I certainly won't watch, and I haven't watched the whole Tito Roy fight yet, just the first 2 rounds and I don't think I'll ever watch the rest. This fight was a joke, and a bad one too.

Pretty much all of the great fighters from the previous generation. Roy, Nard, Oscar, Shane, Barrera and so on

I just can't enjoy watching fighters that aren't what they once were.

I still really enjoy watching JMM fight, Dsimon, he's more exciting than when he was in his prime IMO. Great fighter, still one of my favourites to watch and yes, I'd cancel something to watch one of his fights.:cheer:

The thing about the Roy-Tito fight, when it was first rumored way back in 2001, I was already saving up to ensure that I could buy the best seat in the house. I was literally willing to spend any amount of money to attend that fight. They could've had the same shitty undercard that accompanied it this year, and it still would've been worth my money to be there. Hell, Tito-Droppy was a crap undercard and I still feel like I got my money's worth that night. Ditto for Hopkins-Tito.

When it became a reality for earlier this year, I didn't even bother ordering it.

Yeah, but some of them still provide some entertainment even though they are not what they were anymore. I thought Nard's last 2 fight were fun to watch, live of course. I don't think I'll rewatch either. Oscar can still provide some entertainment too, I thought his destruction of Mayorga was pretty fun to watch, and even though I think it is a joke fight, I'll watch him against Pac.

If there's any truth to Morales' return, I don't know if I'll watch. Not because I think it'll be boring, it's almost impossible with Morales involved, but because I don't think I'll enjoy watching him get beaten up once again...

Yeah in 2001 I would have killed to watch Tito Roy, and probably would have felt like killing myself after it, but in 2008 you couldn't get a big fight less relevant than that, if we can call it a "big fight". It's incredible how fast things change in this sport...

If Tito had managed to beat Hopkins, him and Roy would have combined for one of the most anticpated fights in history.

A number of years later and the two of them fighting didn't even get boxing fans excited, let alone mainstreamers.

Erik Morales might be the one fighter I can watch until the bitter end. No matter how shot he is, there will always be entertainment value to be found in his fights. Even in his literal quit job in the Pacquiao rubber match, the three rounds that preceded the no mas still made for the most thrilling one-sided fight I can recall in recent years.

I guess Chico would qualify as well, though the book is obviously closed on his career.

Sure, but Morales happens to be one of my all time favourites, I was crushed after his two defeats against Pac, I'll have a hard time watching him get another drubbing, even if it's against another one of my favourites, JMM.

I can see that. I've always liked Morales, but never to where I was mistaken for the President of his fan club or anything. I just love watching him fight. The David Diaz fight is high on my list of favorites among fights I've sat ringside, for the fight itself as well as the atmosphere (plus I'm equally as big a fan of Diaz). But I can see how that fight, as well as the two Pac losses, wouldn't be particularly memorable to a diehard fan.

I know I agree with you and Whiskey, at least in principle, JMM is not the problem it is me... I just hate to watch the lower weight classes.

    Why?

It's not like Marquez is a flyweight.

I love the featherweight - lightweight range. The fights are consistently faster and more action packed than the heavier classes, and many of them still pack KO power. Just look at Marquez and his recent KO of Casamayor.

Then of course you have Pacman, who's been one of the most exciting fighters of recent years, and before him morales and Barrera, both very exciting, with power.

Loads of fighters in the lower weight classes have had amongst the highest KO ratios in boxing.

Shane - I used to love to watch him fight. It was nice watching him render Mayorga comatose but other then that he just doesn't seem to have the snap and excitement about him he used to and hasn't in a long while.

Barrera - I can't remember the last Barrera fight I didn't just wander into the computer room to pass the time out of boredom while the fight played out in the background.

Tito, Morales I don't even consider being active anymore.

Probably Winky. At first I thought his style was interesting and unorthodox but over the years have grown a little tired of it. Very monotonous and predictable. Block, jab, jab, jab, block, jab, block, jab, jab, jab. Plus, when you take away his jab like Hopkins did, he has nothing.

    Roy Jones Jnr!

A bigger Roy Jones fan there never was (honorable mention to REED, Muzse, BigDawg) but I am just not interested in his fights anymore. Believe it or not I still haven't watched Jones-Calzaghe (Or Jones-Tito).

I was so saddened by Jones' cowardly effort against Tarver in their third fight that I simply cannot stomach watching this once great fighter look mediocre.

For me it was Wlad, I watched his fights in the early 2000's and always was eagerly anticipating that he'd open up and explode on somebody instead of jab....jab.... 1-2 clinch.. but it never happened so as a result I haven't bothered to tune into about the last five fights, and I don't plan to watch any of the replays until he gets KTFO'd again.
