Often there's guys who are able to win a title or two strictly due to their ability to knock their opponents out. But for some fighters, even fight-ending power couldn't compensate for how unskilled they were and as a result they never made any noise. Who comes to mind?

Edison Miranda? I'm not so sure. I think he's just shot from the beating he took from Pavlik. But he might qualify.

    Zertuche?

    Epifanio Mendoza?

    Tito Mendoza?

    Ruvulcaba?

    Fulgenicia Zuniga?

    Kofi Jantuah?

    Marco Antonio Rubio?

    Mamodou Thiam?

Jose "The Threat" Baret - Won 15 of his first 16 fights by KO no later than the 3rd round. Then he was matched with Marlon Starling. He dropped Starling in the 1st round, but was then outclassed the rest of the way and stopped in the 4th. He lost 2 more fights by KO (one against Floyd Mayweather Sr.) before calling it quits.

I've never seen him fight, but I've heard more than once that 70's heavy Jeff Merritt punched like nobody's business...but that is all he had and that kept him from becoming a serious contender.

Also Mac Foster from the 60's & 70's ran up a record of 24-0 (24 KOs) before getting exposed by Jerry Quarry. When he retired, all of his wins were by KO, but he failed each time he faced someone good after that.

Bob Satterfield was a big puncher, but his chin and stamina were both below average. He did manage to score wins over Cleveland Williams, Nino Valdes and Harold Johnson, but he failed more often than not against good competition and never managed to make it to a title fight.

Actually i think it is the best answer to this question, he has almost no boxing ability, no chin, average stamina...all he had was a punch...and one hell of a punch it was...

Letterlough was better than James Butler. Butler was a trash fighter(and person) who's ONLY saving grace was his big left hook.

Letterlough had power, and also had heart. Butler didnt even have heart.

There are plenty of good answers.

The best answer is probably Mike Tyson though.

Louis Monaco...no gas tank, no style, and no chin. If he hit you though, you might be in the next State by the time you landed.

Frankie Swindell at Lightheavy and Cruiser.

Bert Cooper...actually he did have a decent chin, but he sucked because he couldn't stay off the crackpipe. He was close to taking Evander's title though in the early 90s.

    Jimmy Thunder maybe?

Tua in his early years actually had very decent skills. A great chin, and pretty good stamina...don't think he qualifies.
