I don't care who gets stretched as long as someone does.

    Paul Williams-Sergio Martinez II:
We need a rematch. The first fight wasn't very conclusive for as good a fight as it was.

    Alfredo Angulo-James Kirkland:
If Kirkland gets out of prison, I think this fight would make for a great Saturday night slugfest.

    Pacquiao vs Mayweather:
Not sure this fight will happen anymore, but here's hoping.

Edwin Valero vs. Anyone with a pulse

    Nonito Donaire-Vic Darchinyan II @ 115:
These two are meant to fight again. They're the two best fighters at the weight.

Good list. But for me it's Pac-Floyd..........the rest. That fight is of huge historical significance, it's gotta, gotta, gotta happen.

    Agreed 100%

As far as I am concerned, it is Floyd-Pac, then

    anything else.

Exactly. That fight outweighs everything. If it doens't happen, the year is a letdown even if we have five new Corrales-Castillos.

Measuring publicity, over here in Europe Haye-Wlad might actually surpass that fight (sadly) so it would be nice to get over with too

Yeah but this forum is getting a bit repetitive with the two dozen Pac-Floyd threads.

I thought I'd try to talk about other fighters for a bit.

Apparently, Wlad feels the same way.......and has been doing a lot of stretching down in Florida recently. Instead of stretching metaphorical cunts like David, he has instead decided to go for the real thing. Wlad the Hunter, Baby.

“I am a man. And men are still hunters nowadays,â€￾ said Wlad. “I much prefer to approach women than the other way round. It is best when they reject at first. A ‘no’ is an excellent challenge. Then it starts to get fun! It is best for me if the women do not know me at all.â€￾

Good call Whiskey. This fight needs to happen. The previous 3 fights were inconclusive despite being action packed.

Wlad is right. The chase is often more fun than actually enjoying the catch.

    Good list.

I think Kirkland would bash Angulo up, how about you?

I especially want to see Valero against anyone with a pulse. I think he gets schooled.

agREED w/All BUT the Highlighted Bout...Depending on WHEN Kirkland is Released, he May Need a Tune-Up or 2 PRIOR to Facing Angulo...REED Would've HEAVILY Favored Angulo Even BEFORE Kirkland's Prison Stint...

That's what interest me about Kirkland vs. Angulo, I would pick a different guy on any day, and the winner would be catapulted into the Top 10 at 154 easily.

I think both fighters have poor defense, but I give Angulo the edge defensively. I do think Kirkland's aggression would give Angulo a shock. The thing is I've never seen Angulo shaken too badly (except for a few missteps against a Cintron), but I have seen Kirkland on queer street a few times.

I don't know who would win, but if I had money riding on it, I'd give it to Angulo by stoppage.

U've Got to Go AGAINST the Grain to Beat Angulo...Anybody that Stands & TRADES w/him (@ 154) is Getting WAXED...That's Not to Say that Kirkland WON'T Have his Moments, but he's Shown ALOT More Vulnerability than Angulo has...& it's NOT as if Angulo HASN'T Faced Guys who Could Punch a Little Bit...

Maybe I'm underrating Angulo a bit, or overrating Kirkland.

But despite being kind of wild, Kirkland just looks like the better fighter to me.

His chin isn't that bad either, didn't he take a few solid whacks from Julio?

He probably would need a tune up or two, but even before Angulo lost to Cintron, I would have confidently picked Kirkland. He just looks more impressive than Angulo to me. At least as powerful, faster, even more aggressive, a tad more skilled offensively, similar defensively.

Yeah it's one of those fights where if I saw Kirkland stop Angulo with a flurry on the ropes, I wouldn't be surprised at all.

Too bad by the time Kirkland gets out of jail, it'll be mid-2010, and he'll probably need a tune-up and need to cut weight.

Valero is funny to me. Besides the fact that he sports the haircut of a Norman Knight, and has a ridiculous KO/Win ratio, the guy really hasn't fought anyone worth much on the world scale. He even has a nuthugger brigade here (lead by joony).

That sycophant Doug Fischer has even stated that Valero "hits much harder than Pacquiao" and called him his "son".

I always thought it would be hilarious if Valero fought someone like Humberto Soto and got crushed in 3 rounds.

Conversely, if Valero crushed Soto, he'd add a lot of validity to his career.

Well he did just crush one of the top superfeatherweights in the world, but 1st round KOs are difficult to use as a gauge for how good a fighter is or will be (see Khan-Prescott).

Well I know there will be more people in attendance. Wlad already said he´ll fight Chambers in a 45000 seat stadium next. I think if Haye and a Klitschko fight they´ll do it in Wembley stadium in front of 80000 people.
