I've been rooting for whoever the baddie of the season is in "Walking Dead" to wipe Rick Grimes off the face of the map, for what seems like 27 seasons now.

Not a "film", but I believe my point has been made.

In my tiny little head, I imagine all the Trumpers here grew up rooting for Gordon Gecko, Patrick Bateman and Darth Vader. Somehow seeing them as the "Good Guys", working against a tired bureaucracy and a failed system...........rage against the welfare system unless it benefits them..............Ayn Rand............trickle down...........deregulation combined with authoritarianism.......survival of the fittest, and all that jazz.

    THREAD KILLER................BOOM!

Gerard Butler is not a villain in LAC. He's more like an anti hero, and we're supposed to empathize with him.

Hannibal Lecter in The Silence of the Lambs.

Alan Rickman as the Sheriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. I just wanted him to kill Kevin Costner's awful Robin Hood, so bad...

Wilson Fisk aka the Kinpin was a more fleshed out character than Matt Murdock/Daredevil in the Netflix series. He deserved his victory over that blind punk.

Ivan Drago: why couldn't he just 'break you' that one-trick pony retired Rocky Balboa? why?

Who doesn't think The Joker should had defeated that two dimensional Dark Knight? He was way smarter than him!

This answer will please Cdogg, but I gotta with No Country.

Anton Chigurh is one of the most likable psychopaths ever put on screen. Cant root against him.

That was a great scene. Chilling. I was genuinely tense during that one.

Casual movie watchers would only view Chigurh as a hitman.

In reality, his character was suppose to be a metaphor for death - its inevitable and we cant fight it.

Not really. "Heat" empathizes with the criminals far too much, for most of them to be considered villians. There were assorted secondary "villians" scattered throughout, but they were mainly taken care of by the "criminals" themselves using their own moral codes.

Robert DeNiro in "Cape Fear"...............now that's a villian........but you'd have to be a sick fuck to be "rooting" for him.

Noble is spot on. DeNiro is by no means a villain in Heat.

If there's any villain in Heat, it's Waingro. He's a psychopathic sonuvabitch with no code, no loyalty, and no ethics. DeNiro's character had all three.

DeNiro had his path to freedom - he got away from the cops, all the fuck he had to do was keep driving... but his need to exact revenge and stop at the hotel to kill Waingro cost him his life.

The scene when DeNiro kills Waingro is very satisfying though. "Look at me! Look at me!"

    Criss Cross!

Is it Boss pretending to be Hanzy, or did Hanzy fuck up and forget to log in with his other profile? I'm going with Boss.

Does it really matter, I ask myself? No Nobleart, no it does not.

As repulsive as the movie was, I can say that in Black Panther I was solidly rooting for Michael B (and the other guy until he got killed) over Tchala or whatever his name was. So it was cool to see him fairly get his ass beaten, then uncool to see the ‘good guy’ break the rules and unfairly win back his kingdom.

    He also deleted the post.

    No misdirection. He’s been exposed.

He didn’t realize he was logged in as princess buttercup or whatever and posted and then realized “shit!!!” And deleted the post. Only Hanz would talk about Bollywood in this context.

Hanzy is and always will be a Forum whipping-boy of monstrous proportions.

Look at the sheer, one-way traffic shellacking he got in his pathetic Bruce Lee thread.
