Mosley KO in 8. In a dominating performance.

Those picking Cotto, should have paid more attention to Calzaghe-Kessler.

I'm on the fence. This isn't going to be a typical slystaff bold prediction. It's NOT a fight I would bet on. Anything can happen.

I'm leaning 51-49 in favour of Cotto.

My official prediction is Cotto, TKO 11

However it wouldn't surprise me in the least to see Shane stop Cotto himself.

But IF I HAD to make a pick, it has to be the younger rising star....

Either way, it has FOTY written all over it....

    Ridiculous analogy.

Shane may be fast and unconventional in his style...but he doesn't have the consistent workrate of a Calzaghe or the movement for 12 rounds.

Cotto is also far more dangerous than Kessler, P4P.

If that's your thinking, I would highly suggest you rewatch Mosley-Collazo. Shane didn't look tired once at least not in the way where it detracts from the performance.

It still baffles me how so many people aren't really taking styles into consideration. With everyone who choses it's the same old thing, "the young guy, the young guy." Mosley isn't showing age, so that's a bit moot I'd say. Move on to the next factor, like Mosley's beat this style his whole career, he's beaten every latino he's faced and only lost to bigger rangier boxers. It won't even be a close fight.

I've always liked Mosley a lot, I'd kind of like to see him win, but I don't see it.

    Cotto UD.

Cotto is the goods, and Shane - despite impressively beating Collazo - has lost a step.

Much as I'd like Mosley to win I have to go with Cotto by decision or maybe a late stoppage.

Cotto "Zab Judah is a tougher fight than Mosely"

As I said, I were a little worried by focusing on Shane's age heading into this, but such a devistating BOMB of a comment, really soothes the nerves, Shane by KO, probably easier than I ever thought it would come. Yes this hasn't been a good year for me prediction wise, but this is a Vernon Forrest - Carlos Scrubdomir special, every dog has it's day.

Sugar Shane set to honor friend
    By Kevin Iole

    Wednesday, Oct 31, 2007 7:25 pm EDT
The late former lightweight champion Diego Corrales was one of Shane Mosley's closest friends before dying in a May 7 motorcycle accident near his Las Vegas home.

When Mosley enters the ring for the first time since that tragic night, he'll try to channel a bit of Corrales, one of boxing's fiercest warriors.

Mosley and his wife, Jin, will bring Corrales' widow, Michelle, to New York to sit ringside to watch him bid for the WBA welterweight title against Miguel Cotto in Madison Square Garden.

But Mosley also said his trunks will include some sort of patch in memory of his late friend. Mosley said he hasn't completed the design yet.

"I had to do something in Diego's memory, because he was such a good friend," Mosley said. "It was tough to lose a friend that way. He always would say he'd retire before he was 30, but I didn't expect it to be like that.

"Diego and Michelle were really special and so we'll bring Michelle with us."

Mosley, who has predicted a knockout of the unbeaten champion, laughed when recalling the way Corrales used his boxing ability.

Corrales could box, Mosley said, but preferred to slug it out.

It's actually a lot easier than you think. Factor in styles, history, and throw out age since it really isn't a factor the way everyone picking Cotto thinks it is.

By the way, I wish some of you would break down how you think the fight will go or at least base why you're picking the way you are.
