If Cotto were a couple years younger I'd pick him, but I think in my mind Carmelo is too big, he wins by decision

Canelo looks good, but my God... even in just hitting the mitts the sonuvabitch is huffing and puffing between combos. He's gonna get away with it against Cotto, but Golov's hook to the body is gonna make him a good boy.

Wish donnybrook was back. And Ramonza.

As for the fight, I waiver. Right now I'm picking Canelo but previously I was thinking Cotto would win. So my mind could change again.

    Just going with youth.

After Canelo wins, Roach tells Kellerman in the post-fight interview that Cotto actually went into the fight with a broken neck, but didnt wanna post-pone the fight.

Not particularly confident, but he's a live dog @$3.60 to win so I've put some down to make it interesting.

those odds are the same as +360 ? bet 100 to win 360, getting back 460$ ?

i bet a little on cotto to win outright at +250, but if they are up to 360 ill bet a lot more

Not quite....it costs $100 to lay the bet, you win $360 so net gain is $260; in your odds its +260.

Even so, that's live odds right there, so worth a small bet to make the fight interesting. If it was +360 I'd put more on too.

So put Irish and Neil down for Cotto as well.

Seems Miggy is in the lead so far on this forum. Canelo has gotten the vast majority of votes from the boxing media and other fighters. Only guy in the boxing world I've heard picking Cotto is Virgil Hunter.

I have given this no thought, if there was a show called "Better Call Miggles" I would be saying "Better call Miggles a Doctor".

That said, my gut, heart and balls say Cotto.

If I used the head I would probably say Canelo, close.

But right now- Miggles it is.

Yep, I reckon as a punt, Cotto is very live, particularly at +260.

Whether he'll win is another thing, but I reckon Roach will have a game plan that might work.

I wouldn't be shocked if Cotto has been on the juice since being with Roach.

    Though he doesn't look it.

This will be a great fight, but it'll be Miguel's last stand. Cotto will be competitive throughout and will be landing hard punches in combination and making it a war which he'll be leading early.....problem is that I suspect that Saul is an immovable object. That kid is STRONG and tough. Canelo will be breaking him down bit by bit with his explosions (between lulls) of power shots to head and body and by the championship rounds Cotto will be done.

Bottomline is this: The kid is too big, too strong and too young for Cotto, who's been in too many wars.
