Floyd wins a close decision in a tedious affair. Benitez defense was slightly better but Floyd had better offense overall. And I think he was a little faster with his hands. I think he sways the judges with the more eye catching punches and befuddles Benitez with his style.
Not sure Benitez' defence was better, personally. At best they're even in that department, though for my money Floyd's defence, positioning & balance are a little better. But for me it's Floyd's shear hand speed, accuracy & quickness on the trigger that swings this. Benitez had a distinct size advantage but I don't see him having the style to exploit it against Floyd. Close fight but I'd lean towards a Floyd decision. As I've said recently my opinion of Floyd continues to grow.
Floyd wins a competitive decision because he sucks at that weight. And with good reason, I don't think he actually got up to 154 in the Oscar fight.
