    What do you think? Both were undersized heavies who managed to win the title, but then sat on their titles while avoiding their most dangerous challenger. And then didn't make it out of the first round when eventually facing that challenger.

    That being said...both were very good fighters who were just in over their heads against true elite heavies. Spinks could have ruled the Light-heavyweight division (and probably the Cruiserweights as well) for as long as he wanted to and Patterson was a little too big for the Lightheavies but would have dominated a 190 class if it existed then.

    I see it as an evenly matched fight.

    Patterson by decision: I don't think he'd be victim to the Spinks Jinx...because Spinks only ever KOed HAPLESS heavies in faded Cooney and useless Tangstaad.
