But they wont be successful because they won't have the SKILLS! (many have tried, few have succeeded)

    besides...Floyd didn't run.

Wlad Klitschko is still around and if he unifies like he should, the division will thrive and it'll be a shot in the arm for the sport.

Its bad enough these pussies think Oscar won, now there accusing Floyd of RUNNING? Next they'll be claiming DLH scored a knock down and the ref missed it.

This board has me in awe. Some of these simps really DID NOT watch this fight! Its "fans" like THIS that are ruining boxing moreso than Floyd.

Not sure if it's what you meant but Judah should have had the knockdown scored for him. Floyd's glove clearly touched the canvas.

Don't know bro. I've seen some really really awful sh*t in MMA, just like in boxing. That so-called 'grudge match' between Koscheck vs Diego Sanchez was so bad, fans were booing both guys out of the building. Then you have other junk like Herring vs O'Brian with a whole lot of wet blanket tactics when one guy is terrified of standing up and striking. Arlovski vs Werdum was one of the worst fights in years.
Can't say that MMA is better than boxing or vice versa. Particularly because both sports have alot to offer but there's also alot of crap too.

Like I've said before: if a fighter runs, so what?

That's like saying "what else can I do when someone is taller than me?

"I can't do this homework! I'm not smart enough!"

These are professionals at what they do (well, allegedly).

They are paid to face opponents.

This fight had months of prep on both sides.

SOMEBODY has seen a Mayweather tape in the Golden Boy camp, I hope.

This isn't a circular track; it's a CONFINED SPACE WITH A 5'8" GROWN MAN INSIDE IT AS YOUR PREY.

If I gave even the most novice hunter a closed 15x15 room and said catch a rabbit, I'm pretty sure they'd be able to do it.

So you're basically saying that DLH is the slowest and/or dumbest fighter ever, or he couldn't enact his gameplan well enough to stop an elusive fighter before the 12 rounds were up.

Somehow, I'm picking the latter out of respect.

Because I am sentimental, it is about dead though. New generation isn't here yet, after people seeing how Floyd can run and not fight to win......people will adapt this style to stink out the sport.

Who's the wise guy that put Rocky" Little Guinn" Juarez in the card. Thank god for Bautista/Medina. Everybody knows Floyd/GB would be a stinker unless Delahoya connects something good.

For a long time, I've wanted to like Juarez because I followed him while developing as a pro but the guy just can't go through the gears, his lack of intensity is maddening sometimes-he has plenty of tools and it looks like a case of won't rather than can't...

That is such an exxageration. It was actually a good fight. They engaged many times. Floyd even took Oscar's punch at the end of the fight. Floyd ran a lot less than I thought he would.

He was in Oscar's range because he was trying to counter Oscar, as he often did.

The difference is every now and then boxing gets fights like Morales-Barrera and Castillo-Corrales that is 100,000,000x better then any MMA fight that ever happened.

Lance Armstrong Mayweather may have done just that. He fought like a cunt. He still beat de la Zombie. Zombie walked around like he was trying to catch a chicken on PCP when de la Zombie was on thorzine. Fuck Lance. He fought like Lance Armstrong, Zahir Raheem and Fres Oquendo all wrapped into one.

I think maybe we were expecting someone like leonard, who floyd has compared himself to. Someone with great skill and athletic ability, but somebody who nuts up, fights with some fire and passion, and tries to take the guy out.

But when facing a larger opponent in Hagler, Leonard fought the same way Floyd did.

Leonard was past prime and out of retirement. He fought like a bitch yes, but at least he didn't really have anything to prove. In his prime, he had more balls than that.

Floyd had everything to prove, this was his fight to win respect, and he fought like a boring, potshotting, safety first cunt.
