Seriously.... how would Floyd fare at 147 vs the mid 90's version of Ike?

    Floyd by decision.

Sure, Ike's jab would give him one-two things to think about, but ultimately Floyd has too many dimensions to lose to Quartey, and although Ike hit fairly hard...not hard enough to stop Mayweather.

Floyd UD (dropping Ike once in the process with a left hook)

Ike via "easyness" against Floyd Mayweather Jnr? I'm assuming this thread is about Floyd Jnr, not Snr, correct?

Floyd Mayweather Jnr, lose "easily" to Ike Quartey?

    Are you mad?

Ike would have beaten Floyd. No question about it.

Dude, Quartey is susceptible to the left hook and Floyd has a very fast, sharp accurate and unpredictable one.

At some point in a 12 round fight Floyd's gonna render Ike on his ass (Flash KD) with a left hook that he doesn't see. It's a simple matter of probability.

If someone said to you, when Chico was still undefeated/undropped that Floyd would drop him 3 times with single left hooks....your response would be similar to what you've offered now.

It's easy to be a Mythical Matchups warrior, when you know it can't be proven either way. Don't let me remind you of your Lacy-Calzaghe debacle!

    Floyd is not a featherfist.

The Corrales fight was at 130. At 130 Floyd did have pop. If this were a P4P matchup you might have a point. But we're talking about 147, Floyd couldnt even drop(or even seriously hurt) Zab for Christ sake! Hows he gon drop Quartey? Ike was dropped by the hooks of Lopez, and DLH. I'm sorry, I dont care how quick Floyd's hook is nowhere, its nowhere NEAR as powerful as the hook of Oscar, and Lopez. The best Floyd could hope for is to get Ike's respect with a hook, cause he wouldnt hurt him at all. Floyd wouldnt even plant his feet, and commit to trying to hurt Ike. He pop shotted, and fought ultra defensive vs Bumlomir, just imagine how cautious he'd be vs a prime Ike.

Actually...I'm not expecting him to hurt Ike, I'm expecting him to drop him. You can be dropped without being hurt (when Ike dropped DLH for example). Ike's susceptibility to the hook coupled with Floyd's speed, accuracy and unpreditably leads to the only conclusion....

somewhere in 12 rounds, Ike's dropped on his black ass!

It was Lopez's RIGHT hand that hurt and dropped Quartey - on both knockdowns.

Floyd is skilled enough to beat good fighters at 147-154 despite the size disadvantage but he's out of his waters against the elite there IMO, I can't see him beating Quartey at 147, he would make him work for it though. He's too good not to.

Quartey's jab would give Mayweather problems, because it was nearly as hard as Mayweather's power punches, but I see Mayweather winning a close decision.

watching the way Oscar was jabbing the hell out of Mayweather when he used it convinces me that Ike would be knocking floyd back with some serious jabs the entire fight...ike would win this fight EASILY..and there is no chance of ike dispensing with the jab because thats what Ike was..a jabbing machine

Yeah, but you missed Mayweather countering those jabs with overhand rights. That's why De la Hoya stopped throwing the jab.
