Cloud looked impressive. Glad the ref finally stopped it. I was getting really worried about Gonzales.

Decent head movement and workrate from Cloud. He seemed gassed after the 6th but he played it smart. He did get busted up a bit but seemed to walk through Gonzalez's shots pretty easily.

I'll look forward to his next fight.

He scored that fight for Gonzalez so he was kind of right.

It was hard to evaluate Cloud when he was fighting a punching bag. Gonzalez showed some wicked heart but damn he is going to end up brain dead.

He did look slower then usual. I was just impressed that Cloud didn't completely gas out with the style he has.

He's definitely more skilled then a guy like Letterlough. He doesn't punch quite as hard but he does have bad intentions on his shots.

Julio looking slower than normal is really saying something. LOL. His legs didn't look a lot of times either. I think a big hint about Julio was given when Tarver beat Woods so easy considering he beat Julio fairly easy the 2nd fight. Julio looked slower than normal, his punches didn;t have much on them and his legs weren't right pretty early. Some of that was because of Cloud, some of it was also because is shop worn and not very good. Cloud will be fun to watch for sure though.

Cloud could have easily Wladimir´d himself on Gonzo´s freaky chin, but he slowed the tempo down twice to conserve energy, waited for his openings and then, when he was sure, he´d last the 12 round distance, he opened up again. Very smart game plan when you only have had one five round fight. He has a good jab and obviously some pop. He´s the IBF mandatory and given Dawson´s shaky chin, I´d give him a very good chance to pull off the upset. If Tarver doesn´t do it first.

I missed the fight. Hopefully I can catch on of the late replays this week. Ive never seen Cloud before, but if he can punch he'd have a chance against Dawson. I'm a Dawson fan, but I admit that Chad's chin isnt the best. But then again, fighting a shot Julio Gonzalez is far different than fighting Dawson.

I hope Dawson-Cloud happens though. 175 needs youth! Outside of RJ's reign, 175 has been a division devoid of excitement since the 80's and the era of Spinks, Qawi, and SM.

based on that fight cloud seems like a sharper and all around better version of lacy.
