Bad but improving somewhat, and still able to punk the supposed top 3 fighter at 205lbs. Either that says something good about Forrest or something bad about Ortiz.
Forrest needs to really work on his stand up. His take down defense is quite good though. For a TUF winner, he's ok.

i thought it was funny as shit after the ortiz fight when Forrest started sprawling in front of Tito

really hanzy, for his experience level, forrest is pretty good....Sinosic and Bonnar are two good names for the resume, and the tito fight was pretty impressive for forrest

True, I do think Forrest is pretty good. I mean he's done very well up to now, even before he entered the UFC. He's ended matches with submissions, KOs, etc so he's got the tools. I think though that if he trains with Chuck Liddell on his standup, he'd improve greatly. His stand up needs work. About hundred times I saw Tito open and ready to be KO'd from a combo and Forrest just didn't have the ability to throw or land. His striking needs alot of work and he should take that part of his game alot more seriously and he'll go places I bet.

The mechanics on his shots do need work. And he's not particularly fast with his hands, though he does move well. But still exciting and funny as hell too.

Forest Griffen is the Arturo Gatti of MMA. Always exciting, and has a chance to beat all but the elite in his weight class. He'll always be more respected for his heart, guts and style of fighting then for any success or failure he has while competing.
