The Randall that beat Chavez beats up Phillips and stops him in 8. On that night he looked like the best fighter in the world. THe right that dropped Chavez puts Phillips to sleep.
Randall was the better boxer, but Phillips had better one-punch power. Both had suspect chins, both relied on straight rights as their money punch. Both battled for years with drug addictions (and booze as well for Randall)... I don't know, this is a pretty damn even match on paper. Randall's boxing skills might be the difference, but I think Vince lands enough rights to keep Frankie honest enough and reluctant to go for the knockout. I'd probably take Randall by decision in a fight where both guys hit the deck.
