"She does get to make some decisions, what is she going to make for me when I get home." :giggle::giggle:
Before too long, Joshua is going to be getting hyped as the big, black metropolitan liberal slugger who can set things a right. This is heating up, but good.
:: :drl: You gotta admit, Fury is one of the funniest fuckers to ever lace up a pair of gloves. He's up there in terms of wit and trash talking with the best of em.
Fury has the best pair of legs I have seen on a heavyweight for some time. Whoever fights him is going to have to find him, and then nail him. Joshua, I fear, is going to get sucked into a vortex of social outrage such that he HAS to win to "restore British values"..............Fury, as some here have learned to their everlasting detriment, absolutely does not give a flying fuck what ANYONE thinks and has TOTAL conviction in his beliefs. It's not self-belief, it is CONVICTION-bordering on, if not actually outright- religious. Fury fights for a code, a bloodline, a creed. Joshua will find that a hard nut to crack.
I think Fury's style of fighting is going to be hard to solve. But I do believe that Joshua has what it takes. He has fast hands and the footwork to pivot and turn Tyson around. It won't be easy, but I do think he'd win.
They know each other well from when Joshua beat the shit out Fury in sparring. Joshua actually gave an interview about Fury-Klitschko and had nothing but good words to say regarding TF: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Kh6oIlVnSkU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I spoke at length about the sort of man he is before. He's definitely Irish, melancholy, brilliant one minute, a ball of shite the next.
I do agree that Fury's fighting for "a code, a bloodline, a creed" make him a dangerous man. Purely for the fact he doesn't believe he can lose, that sense of self-belief can unnerve an opponent in itself. In fact, the only pro fight which Fury lost (despite being the beneficiary of one of the worst decisions ever seen) was against a fellow traveller in John McDermott.
Yep. Fury had a moment of crisis in there with the "Get the water on me" thing. He was overheating, underprepared and in trouble. But he addressed it.
5:50 "It's DIS-belief" :drl: :atu: Fury is truly a RIOT... David Haye was at a loss for words here and I'm convinced he truly lost the mind game and he wanted nothing to do with Fury after this.
"Wladimir fights like a wimp"- :: Truer words have never been spoken!. Fury is definitely likeable. He truly is a funny fucker and if his whole schtik is by design, then he truly is a marketing genius. For years he had everyone talking about him despite never looking anything close to a great fighter.
Thats actually a great piece of footage. Watch Fury's jaw muscles and face at 11:25 as Haye talks about Fury taking a beating. Fury really takes that to heart. He's not a mug by any stretch and I think he's tuned in 24-7, and the bullshit and clowning is just that. Haye got cute and tried to make it racial with the Holmes-Cooney comments but Fury immediately claims Cooney as "My Guy" before flat-out lying that Cooney was winning the fight.....he was prepared to claim Cooney as one of his own and then lie to deflate Hayes {ugly} attempt to unsettle him. No clown is Luke.
:: :: That was great to look back on, the funniest thing about it is pretty much everything Fury said came to fruition
Agreed..............and the thing is Fury is either the greatest guesser in History or his head and ass are actually wired together. I think he's far cuter than he lets on.
Fury is still only 27. Vitali at 27 wasn't really being regarded by anybody as all that, neither was Lennox Lewis.
I didn't notice that initially but yeah now that you bring it up, that's interesting. The thing with Haye is that he never met a guy who could outwit him like that and he didn't know what to do. I think Fury had him completely psyched out.
That was really bloody irritating that Haye pulled out of the Fury fight twice. I really was expecting a cracker.
Fury is funny. I liked it when he tapped his mouth in the buildup to the Chisora rematch (he had been in trouble with the british boxing commission for some of the things he has said earlier). Though, his religious views seems a bit scary. If he was born in a muslim country, he probably roll with ISIS
Fury looks like an oaf but I agree with the consensus....he'll prove difficult to beat. Joshua can and would do it...but i wouldn't bet on any other current heavyweights.
The more I read up on Fury's stance on things, the more I like him. He likes women in dresses, he likes them in the kitchen. He likes them barefoot and pregnant. He's not down with Homosexuality and abortion. You know what dawg...I like I kinda like this guy!
